The GH recap for Monday, October 31, 2022, features Valentin Cassadine needing a woman to come to his aid once again.
In this episode, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was finally reunited with Charlotte Cassadine (Amelie McLain), Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) was finally reunited with her parents, and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) gets to meet Heather Webber (Alley Mills). In addition, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) has her day in court with Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) gloating and Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) defending her. Now, let’s dig a little deeper to find out what really happened in Port Charles and beyond.
After months of missing his daughter, Valentin was finally able to spend some time with her on the grounds of her boarding school in Switzerland. However, he was alarmed when Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) was finally able to reach him and let him know that Anna had been arrested for Lucy Coe’s (Lynn Herring) alleged murder.
While Felicia told him not to return home, Valentin sat with Charlotte in a church and made sure that she was happy and safe at her school and did his best to try to get them both out of the watchful eye of Victor’s goon. When handing the goon money didn’t work, Valentin tried to punch the man but missed twice.
The goon was ready to take Valentin out when someone clad in a black robe arrived and knocked the goon out. Valentin was easily able to deduce that Laura Collins (Genie Francis) had shown up at the exact right moment.
Back in Port Charles, Anna had her arraignment, and the Assistant District Attorney asked that she be held without bail, and the judge agreed. It was Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) who quietly offered to break her out while Victor smirked.
After a quarter of a century of going it on her own, Elizabeth finally came face to face with her parents, Jeff Webber (William Moses) and Carolyn Webber (Denise Crosby). While they were thrilled to see her, they did seem a little tone-deaf when they offered her refreshments and asked her to stay a while. They also admitted to creeping her children on social media. Charming.

Elizabeth couldn’t believe how nonchalant they were being about abandoning her to the neighbors when she was only 15 so they could save the world as doctors who didn’t have borders. They admitted that they thought of visiting Port Charles many times, but saw that she seemed to be doing okay, so they didn’t bother.
Liz raged at them for leaving her without parents through a teenage rape, high school graduation, nursing school graduation, marriages, divorces, the birth of her children, the alleged death of one of them, and the recent death of her husband. She then stormed out but marched right back in and announced she wasn’t leaving without answers.
At General Hospital, Finn was shocked by his encounter with Heather, who accused him of sleeping with her dead son’s wife before his grave was even cold. Finn didn’t bother correcting her and telling him he has not slept with Elizabeth. She also made some catty remarks about Anna that seemed to offend Finn.
He also wondered how a woman locked in an asylum managed to contract a flesh-eating bacteria found in the rainforest and then gave her a sedative. Later, Finn told Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) that he was resisting flying to Monterey to see Elizabeth because she doesn’t need him to rescue her. Hopefully, he remembers that for a long time to come.
