The GH recap for Monday, November 28, 2022, features Ava Jerome Cassadine paying a visit to ex-lover Ryan Chamberlain to discuss a mutual ‘friend.’
GH Recap Highlights
In this episode, Ava (Maura West) did the police a favor with their Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) search while Esme herself schemed to find a way to escape her Rapunzel-in-the-tower predicament. Also, Heather Webber (Alley Mills) tried to broker a deal to go free, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) jumped to all the wrong conclusions, and Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) took a hostage and then let her go. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
Ava was surprised when Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) approached her about finding Esme. She didn’t know what to tell them and certainly didn’t mention Esme’s little tumble off the parapet. However, she was intrigued when they suggested Ryan Chamberlain (also Jon Lindstrom) might know how to find her and they wanted her to visit Spring Ridge and see if she could convince Ryan to talk — or at least blink.
Ava was all for it, so they headed over so Ava could taunt Ryan while he sneered at her and tried not to give away the fact that he is very much not locked in. When Ava turned to leave, Ryan told her via blink (interpreted by his new helper) that she shouldn’t worry, they will find Esme together.
Meanwhile, Esme was dismayed when Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) delivered prenatal vitamins but still wouldn’t help her break free of the tower. She later conjured up an imaginary Ryan who told her to pretend she dumped out all the vitamins so that Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and Elizabeth would think she was trying to hurt the baby. Somehow she thought this would cause them to set her free.
Victor decided that this would be the night he moved into Wyndemere, and when he saw Elizabeth there, he assumed Nik and Liz must be having an affair. Nikolas decided to let him believe it but begged him not to tell Ava.
General Hospital Recap: Ryan Has Even More Friends
It turned out Heather was also in Spring Ridge now, which seems to be a bad place to keep murderous psychopaths, but who are we to judge? Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) was Heather’s first visitor, asking questions about the night Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) escaped.
After Dante left, Heather called Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner), and he ran right over to be kind to Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) memory. Heather wanted him to make her a free woman if she would cooperate with the cops and lead them to Anna.
Later, a guard was escorting Heather to another room when she spotted Ryan. The two looked at one another as if they have known each other for years, but Heather tried to shrug the moment off.
GH Recap: Holly Kidnaps Laura
At the hospital, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) was convinced Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) had been drugged, and she definitely wasn’t wrong. When Robert came to, he was sure that something awful had befallen Holly after realizing the briefcase with the Ice Princess was no longer attached to his wrist. Jordan and Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) were forced to tell him Metro Court security confirmed that Holly absconded with the briefcase.
Laura Collins (Genie Francis) was surprised to run into Holly at Rice Plaza and was further shocked to hear Holly was taking an Uber out of town for some freelance government work. Laura offered to drive her so they could catch up, so how could Holly refuse?
The trouble came when Jordan called Laura and Laura put Jordan on the car speaker just in time for Jordan to announce what Holly had done to Robert. This prompted Holly to disconnect the call, hold a gun to Laura’s head, and leave her abandoned on the side of the road. At least she left Laura with her phone and dialed Kevin’s number when she took off into the night with that briefcase.
