GH Recap For November 17: Holly Sutton Shot Lucy Coe

The GH recap for November 17, 2022, features Holly Sutton getting quite frazzled and then flashing back to a fateful night on the pier.

In this episode, Holly (Emma Samms) aroused some sneaking suspicions, Elizabeth Webber Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) played a big trick on Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) wallowed in self-pity, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) made a deal with a she-devil, and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) made plans for the future. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.

As Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) and Holly shared a meal, Holly seemed on edge but still tried to figure out if Robert knew anything about Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) whereabouts. She suggested Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough) might know but Robert assured her she would never allow their daughter to be involved in this.

When Laura Collins (Genie Francis) arrived and lamented about Martin Grey’s (Michael E. Knight) grief over Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring), Holly was visibly shaken and started talking about being gaslit to the point where you don’t know what you are doing anymore. After Holly went outside for air, Laura said point blank to Robert that she thinks Holly is working for Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy).

He had to admit that she has been acting quite odd. However, he didn’t want to believe the Victor connection could be true. We then saw Holly outside flashing back to shooting Lucy and taking off her wig while placing down Anna’s gun right after Lucy was shot.

Over at the Port Charles Police Department, Sam and Dante took some time for romance in the interrogation room and talked about vacationing, but also discussed the Anna and Lucy case. Sam was surprised that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was somehow involved with Anna’s escape.

General Hospital Recap: Elizabeth Isn’t Stupid

Nikolas Cassadine (temporarily played by Adam Huss) was panicked when Elizabeth seemed alarmed after checking a seemingly-unconscious Esme’s pulse. She insisted that something was wrong with the baby and that they had to get a knife and prepare to do a C-section right away with no anesthesia. When she went to touch Esme’s belly, Esme popped right up and told Liz to get her hands off her, proving she was faking the whole time.

Downstairs, Nikolas told Liz of his plans to take Esme to Cassadine Island and have her give birth there. He would then bring the baby back to Port Charles to raise and leave Esme in a life of luxury on the island. Elizabeth told him that Esme would give birth at Wyndemere and she would become Esme’s nurse.

Back upstairs, Esme was fascinated when her baby moved and had an entirely one-sided conversation with “Ace.” She then broke down crying when it finally hit her that she was in such a sad predicament.

GH Recap: Selina Wu Causes Trouble

At the Metro Court, Sonny checked up on Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson), and she thanked him for the flowers he sent on what would have been Liam’s first birthday. He then took Sasha aside to make sure Gladys wasn’t overstepping her bounds as her conservator.

Left alone to her own devices, Gladys approached Selina Wu (Lydia Look) just to tell her that they have Deception in common and have met before. That’s when Selina decided to invite Gladys to participate in one of her poker games, and Gladys was quite interested. Hmmm, wonder where she will get the money for the buy-in?

At the bar, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) tried to drink her sorrows away but had trouble swallowing. Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) wondered what was wrong, but Selina interrupted them to make sure all their drinks were on her tab.

When Britt took an attitude with Selina, Brad later wondered how she got the guts to do that. Britt then confessed that Selina blackmailed her into making sure Brad never got the hospital job, but she refused to tell Brad what Selina had on her that made her susceptible to blackmail.
