The GH recap for Wednesday, December 7, 2022, features a big day for Spencer Cassadine as he once again has to get used to life on the outside.
GH Recap Highlights
In this episode, Great Uncle Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) had quite a big surprise for Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) as Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) tried to assure Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) he had no clue where Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) was. Also, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) came to an agreement, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) discussed their past, Jeff Webber (William Moses) finally apologized for being a no-good-terrible dad, and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) went ahead with her big birthday party plans. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
Spencer was stunned when Victor arrived at Pentonville and told him he managed to pull some strings and get him an early release from prison. What a relief for the boy who has spent most of 2022 in some sort of jail. Has the statute of limitations run out on his pre-pubescent crimes like rigging a whole election?

When Spencer went to get his things, Great Uncle Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and Victor squabbled while using biblical parables to get their point across. Cyrus assured Victor that one of them was clearly a bad guy, and it sure wasn’t Cyrus now that he has found religion.
Needless to say, Nikolas was stunned when Victor and Spencer showed up at Wyndemere and Spencer announced he had to have strict supervision as part of his release terms.
Nikolas already had enough trouble when Finn stopped by demanding to know if he knew where Esme was since he is now a police detective and not an infectious disease doctor. Nikolas managed to get rid of him but not before Finn spotted the prenatal vitamin bottle on the table.
Over at GH, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) held onto the new bottle of prenatal vitamins as she listened to Jeff finally admit he was wrong for sending her away as Heather Webber (Alley Mills) helped him see the light. Elizabeth refused to forgive her father and was happy to see him leave town, but she was still clutching those vitamins when Finn arrived.
General Hospital Recap: A Needed Reunion
Despite Felicia Scorpio (Kristian Wagner) telling Valentin that it would be hard to track down Anna, Valentin managed to do it in less than 48 hours and reunited with her at an Irish manor. It seemed that Anna was staying with Tiffany Hill Donely (Sharon Wyatt), so that was easy enough.
Valentin quickly decided he had to go because his flying all the way from Port Charles to Ireland would arouse suspicions, but Anna convinced him to stay so they could work as a team to find Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and clear her name. When Felicia called to warn them that the U.S. marshal had a lead on Anna, they decided to make a quick escape, but then a mysterious someone appeared at the door.
Back in Port Charles, Laura Collins (Genie Francis), Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers), and Felicia put their heads together to find out why Victor really wants those Ice Princess diamonds. Fortunately, Felicia keeps a jeweler’s loop right in her purse and was able to find a series of letters and numbers on the necklace that did not seem to be serial numbers. When she left, Robert and Laura wondered if maybe Victor was looking for a code in the diamonds and not really interested in them for money. Ya think? Perhaps they should call their old pal Tiffany and ask her if she remembers the year 1981.
GH Recap: Britt’s Party, Cody’s Woes
Britt Westbourne remained serious about her plans for a New Year’s Eve birthday party and rented out The Haunted Star for the occasion. She then invited Terry Randolph (Cassandra James), who noticed that Britt was acting awfully strange. Britt even implied that they may not be co-chiefs of staff much longer.
At the Port Charles Grille, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Dante ran into a drunk Cody, who claimed he was leaving town. Sam said she wasn’t too upset about this.
When Sam left the table, Cody told Dante all about the necklace and how he messed things up with Britt. He wondered if it was karma for the bad things he had done in his life, which led to both Cody and Dante vague-talking about the bad thing they did as teens at summer camp.
