The GH recap for Monday, December 12, 2022, features Heather Webber and Ryan Chamberlain discussing their pride and joy and where she could have possibly gone.
GH Recap Highlights
In this episode, we learn how Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) and Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) ended up as a father-and-daughter team. Also, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) lost his ever-loving mind when he falsely learned Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) is with child. Love was also in the air as Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) gave some positive advice to two young people. And finally, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) had to deliver some bad news to Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) thanks to clueless Carly Spencer (Laura Wright). Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
Heather was shocked to learn that Ryan knew all about the daughter she gave birth to as she tried to explain she gave the baby away because she knew neither one of them should be raising a child. However, she somehow knew that Esme had been an intern at Spring Ridge and told herself that was just a coincidence.

Ryan explained that Esme tracked him down because she had a trinket from a charm bracelet he kept to remind him of his victims. Heather admitted she took the bracelet when their time was over, and newborn Esme grabbed it and broke it apart when Heather was dropping her off to be found by the authorities. Esme somehow ended up with one of the charms and was able to use it as a teenager to track Ryan down.
GH Recap: Disturbed
Heather was then disturbed to learn that Ava had tossed Esme over the parapet, but relieved when Ryan told her she survived the fall. However, Heather was once again distraught when Ryan delivered the news that Esme has been missing for a while, and they both vowed that they would find whoever hurt their precious girl and give them everything they deserve.
Meanwhile, Esme trimmed her Charlie Brown Christmas tree with toilet paper, but then asked Daddy for help, and he cosmically delivered in the form of Demetrius (Ari Kappatos) kindly bringing her some ornaments and lights. Yes, Esme clearly has a plan.
General Hospital Recap: Elizabeth’s Big Ol’ Lie
Elizabeth didn’t even blink when Finn asked her if she was pregnant and said yep, sure am. She didn’t even hesitate to tell him it was Nikolas’s child. Finn, as expected, was furious. How could she do this to him? He believed her when she said she wanted to take it slow, and then to learn it was all a lie was just too much, so he started throwing around test tubes and blood vials, and all Liz could do was tell him she was sorry.
Finn still wanted to go to Wyndemere with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) to find Esme, and when Liz asked him not to, he said he would not protect Nikolas for her. He did agree not to hurt her boys and tell them about the fake baby, but he didn’t say he wouldn’t tell anyone else. In fact, he wondered aloud what Ava might think.
GH Recap: Trina Follows Her Heart, Willow Follows Death
Speaking of Ava, she rushed to Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) house to give some motherly advice since, apparently, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) has much more important things to do. Trina told Ava all about Rory Cabreras’s (Michael Blake Kruse) declaration of love and Spencer being free from jail and showing up just in time to hear Rory’s words. Trina wondered how she could pretend to have feelings for Rory now that Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) is walking free.
Ava told Trina to follow her heart, so Trina sent a text to Spencer welcoming him home. Spencer, who decided to get drunk at Wyndemere and pour out his heart to his dad for a change, was thrilled to receive the text and decided there is hope for him and Trina after all. Soon, Nikolas also felt hopeful when Ava arrived at his front door.
At the Metro Court, a deathly-looking Willow had dinner with Carly as Carly worried about what Drew Cain might be learning from the person who allegedly knew Callie as a baby. Willow explained to Carly how much she wanted to know who her birth mother is, but Carly did not care as it turned out she paid off Denise McKenzie (Alex Reitveld) to lie to Drew and claim Willow’s birth mom had been dead for years.
