The General Hospital recap for Wednesday, December 6, 2023, features Dante giving Laura the lowdown on Austin’s death and Cyrus’s connection to the murder.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

Also in this episode, Spencer cried as Esme moved out with Ace, Joss saw another side of Adam, Curtis and Marshall reminisced about Christmases past, Liz and Jake leveled with each other, and Finn got a taste of being in the hot seat. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.

A Harsh Reality Check

Laura (Genie Francis) got the lowdown on Austin’s case from Dante (Dominic Zamprogna). The investigation was moving much too slowly for her taste. Dante was quick to remind her this wasn’t their jurisdiction. He was doing what he could in Port Charles while working with the Pawtucket police.

He did offer up all he knew so far, though. Austin was shot twice in the chest in a home he owned. Also, there was a short list of suspects in town — including Laura’s very own brother!

Laura wasn’t too keen on the idea that Cyrus (Jeff Kober) was involved and Dante laid it all out. Austin testified for the baddie at his trial and was the main reason Cyrus was out of the slammer. Laura got more and more upset as the pieces fell into place and she realized this crime was right up her sibling’s alley. She vowed to make Cyrus pay if it was true.

Holiday Cheer…And Gloom

It was Christmas tree shopping day for the Ashford family. Curtis (Donnell Turner), Marshall (Robert Gossett), and Trina (Tabyana Ali) went to pick the perfect evergreen. Trina was all about getting a small one (clearly for Curtis’s sake) but he wasn’t having it. He wanted a big tree. And, he got his wish when they found the one they wanted. No sooner did they claim their prize than Trina got a text and took off.

Trina got to Spencer’s to hug him and offered her support. He had just spent his day saying goodbye to Ace. Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) moved out on her own and Spencer was upset. So much so, that he nearly cried when he cuddled Ace to say goodbye.

Trina reminded Spencer that Esme and Ace would still be around. And, that he would for sure still see the baby. Plus, they are siblings. They would always have a bond.

Also at the tree farm were Liz (Rebecca Herbst) and Jake (Hudson West). Their shopping was a little less joyful, though. Jake realized his mom wasn’t acting like herself and Liz admitted she wasn’t. She was worried about Finn (Michael Easton).

Jake also said he didn’t feel great either. He wasn’t sure where he stood with Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez), and the shooting scared him. So much so, that he’s joined a group to get more involved in fighting gun violence.

Finn got a taste of what it will be like on the witness stand when Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) worked with Martin (Michael E. Knight) to prep him. She played the role of opposing attorney and it did not go well as both lawyers worried he may tank his own case.

Stressful Times

Meanwhile, over at Deception, Maxie (Kirsten Storms) told Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) and Cody (Josh Bell) about their next shoot. It was going to be in a romantic setting and sure to wow their audience. Who doesn’t like a little romance, right?

The meeting was cut short when Felicia (Kristina Wagner) came in. James was sick and the school had been trying to call. No worries, though, she and Liesl (Kathleen Gati) were on it. Maxie allowed Cody and Sasha to take her next meeting and went home to her son.

At the same time, Adam (Joshua Benard) showed up to Joss’s (Eden McCoy) room in a stressed-out state. The make-up test results were in and he was panicked. Joss calmed him down, looked them up, and gave him the good news that he got 97%.

Adam’s smile only lasted a mere minute, though. He called his dad and got slammed with questions about why he missed the test in the first place. Adam ended up lying and saying he was asked to help and take Joss to the hospital. Sorry, Dad.

Joss went off about the fib. How dare he bring her into his lies. It’s time he stands up to his parents! Adam slinked away to take a pill while Joss tried to calm down with music.
