The General Hospital recaps for August 22 – August 26, 2022, feature much ado concerning a particularly eventful do.
General Hospital Recaps: Monday, August 22
Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) proposes to Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr)… Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) and Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) meet for the first time; the event proves cathartic for both… Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) debates her options: she can begin treatment ASAP or delay doing so until she’s further along in her pregnancy.
The Quartermaines ready to host a fundraising BBQ. Olivia Falconeri Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) tells Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda) of the ‘Sicilian Thunderbolt’ a supposed potion that will unite perfectly matched lovers. Leo decides to make the drink in the hopes of getting Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) romance back on track.
Dex Heller (Evan Heller) warns Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) that his best-laid plan might have gone to pot… Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) begs off attending the Q fete as Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) plus one… Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) timely intervention keeps Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura Wright) from blabbing about his affair with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) to Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez).
GH Recaps: Tuesday, August 23
Portia enthusiastically accepts Curtis’s proposal. Jordan congratulates the couple but is later put out to overhear Portia on the phone talking about genetic counseling for Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali)… Willow decides to keep her cancer diagnosis to herself and postpone treatment until her second trimester.
Sonny tangles with both Michael and Nikolas… Leo’s plan to get Dante and Sam to drink his supposedly magic concoction hits a major snag: he’s not sure which two unsuspecting persons grabbed the doctored drinks!
General Hospital Recaps: Wednesday, August 24
After deducing that Trina is Curtis’s biological daughter, Jordan subtly instructs Portia to just come clean… Portia is chagrined to learn that Trina must consent to the genetic counseling… Trina and Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) get to know one another better. When their paths cross with Spencer, Trina expresses her displeasure over his sentencing and Rory offers to see if he can get Spencer a cushy job in the prison library.

Sam and Dante agree to blend their families, but with one caveat: they’ll do so under Sam’s roof and not Dante’s as previously discussed… Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) throw caution to the wind and give into their feelings for one another… Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) halt the subterfuge and get real with each other. A supercouple is born.
GH Recaps: Thursday, August 25
Terry and Yuri (Cyrus Hobbi) are revealed to be the recipients of Leo’s special cocktail… Drew and Carly’s ill-timed assignation results in the grill they left unmanned catching fire; Sonny rides to the rescue; Nina is hailed the lady of the hour when she sees to it that the desserts ordered for the charity picnic but delivered to the Metro Court arrive at the correct destination.
When Nikolas pushes for a reconciliation, Ava unleashes her pent-up ire over his affair with Esme unaware that Spencer is within earshot… Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) learns that Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) reached out to her sister.
General Hospital Recaps: Friday, August 26
Ava takes her leave of Spencer and Nikolas; the son blasts his father for his betrayal… Victor tasks Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) with keeping an eye on Nikolas and Spencer. Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) spied on the men, flirted uproariously with Victor, then relayed the obvious tension to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).
Yuri and Terry retire to the Metro Court pool and begin getting to know one another… Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and Felicia Scorpio (Kristna Wagner) make Cody Bell’s (Josh Kelly) acquaintance. Mac cops to knowing Cody’s mother but doesn’t admit to courting her… Britt bristles when Cody inquires about Faison and Peter.
Elizabeth declared her and Finn’s relationship over. Sometime later, she’s roused from a fugue state and finds herself unable to explain an injury to her forehead… A soused Ava happens upon Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) and his cousin Mason (Nathanyael Grey) quarreling; she’s later skewered by a fisherman’s hook!
