General Hospital Recaps: Monday, August 1
Under false pretenses, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) checks to see if Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) – or her corpse – was checked into GH; no luck. A distraught Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) breaks down in Ava’s understanding arms… Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) acquiesces to Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) demand for more money but refuses to make Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) attempt to rig Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) trial public knowledge.
Kristina Corinthos Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) made it clear to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) that his happiness is all that matters to her – even if Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is what makes him happy… Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) gifts Nina a Japanese dagger and warns her to be wary of Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).
With Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) insisting on being an impediment to him, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) threatens to make his life a misery. Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) are thrown by Cody’s cover story for his and Spinelli’s animosity – that they’re both interested in Britt.
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) cautions Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) against complicating Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) life; this results in Brook Lynn reconsidering her plan to outwit Linc Brown (Dan Buran)
GH Recaps: Tuesday, August 9
Ava signs her divorce papers, but Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) makes her see that she’s only establishing a motive for wanting Esme dead. Still, Ava refuses to resume a harmonic relationship with her husband… Cody makes quite the impression on Liesl; she’s practically ready to push Britt down the aisle – and then Cody sucker punches Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner)!

Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) confides in Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) her suspicion that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is keeping something from her; Felicia encourages Anna to trust her instincts… Valentin works overtime to convince Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) that Anna is no longer a threat to him; Victor isn’t exactly swayed… Sonny and Nina agree to make a real go of a romantic relationship.
General Hospital Recaps: Wednesday, August 10
Cody claims that he’s Dominque Stanton’s (Shell Danielson) firstborn; Scott is incredulous. Dante places Cody under arrest for assault… Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) makes Valentin a proposal: in exchange for ELQ, he’ll see to it that Victor is no longer a viable threat… Anna strongarms (read: blackmails) Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) into acting as her spy against Valentin.
Victor attempts to recruit Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) cause, but she refuses to lift a finger to help Spencer. In point of fact, she wants to ensure that justice is done… Sonny is intrigued to learn that Spencer’s furlough from Spring Ridge was orchestrated by a third party… Spinelli attempted – not at all convincingly – to stick to Cody’s script.
GH Recaps: Thursday, August 11
Rather than rat out Victor, Spencer decides to serve three months in Pentonville… Trina and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) are informed that there will soon be a verdict handed down in the former’s case… Portia resigns herself to bringing Oz Haggerty (Max Faugno) out of his coma… Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) assures Sonny that she won’t mention his order to have a member of Trina’s jury intimidated.
General Hospital Recaps: Friday, August 12
Cody shares his tale of childhood woe – raised by domestics despite his status as the offspring of landed gentry – to Dante. Scott comes to the conclusion that Cody is sincere… Portia tries and fails to gain entry to Oz’s room. Once Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) deduces what Portia is up to, she arranges a distraction enabling the doc to inject Oz with the medication she hopes will bring him out of his coma.
