The General Hospital recaps for August 15 – August 19, 2022, feature some much-needed good news coupled with a devastating diagnosis. Hey, not everybody’s a winner.
General Hospital Recaps: Monday, August 15
Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) are stunned to hear that Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) refused the cushy plea deal offered to him in lieu of three months of incarceration at Pentonville. Nikolas is infuriated when he learns of Spencer’s reason, namely that he would have had to name Victor as the accomplice who arranged his furlough. Spencer beseeches Victor to track Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) down. Nick reveals to Victor that Esme is deceased.
Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) catches Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) deep in conversation and deduces that she’s the topic. Liz warns Finn that one more likewise incident and they’re through… Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) wakes Oz Haggerty (Max Faugno) from his coma; he is uncooperative when questioned about his association with Esme.
Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) readies to receive the verdict in her case… When Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) comes inquiring about Trina, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) introduces him to Cameron Webber (William Lipton); neither man takes to the other.
GH Recaps: Tuesday, August 16
Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) gives Oz the immunity that he demands in exchange for his testimony, then storms the courthouse and insists that a recess be granted until such time as Oz can take the stand. While under oath, Oz identifies Esme – and not Trina – as the woman he sold a burner phone to. The charges against Trina are dismissed.
Nikolas tried to cover for Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) by claiming that he killed Esme, but he eventually reveals all to Victor. The men work to purge the castle of Esme’s belongings; their efforts are stymied by the arrival of the PCPD… Terry and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) break the bad news to Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen): she has leukemia. Willow chooses to forgo immediate treatment.
Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) decorate the Metro Court pool area for a party to celebrate Willow’s graduation from nursing school.
Olivia Falconeri Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) picks up on the chemistry between Carly and Drew… Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) sup in the hotel dining room much to Olivia’s chagrin… Sonny confronts Dex and accuses him of being a liar!

General Hospital Recaps: Wednesday, August 17
Sonny demands an explanation for Dex’s discharge from the Army. He claims that he took it upon himself to teach an abusive superior officer a painful lesson. Sonny debates whether or not he can trust Dex moving forward… An overwhelmed Willow flees from the party held in her honor. She finds comfort in talking to TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow); their interaction makes Nina suspect.
Victor sends the PCPD on a wild goose chase. He, Nikolas, and Ava set fire to all that Esme possessed… Josslyn and Cameron encourage Spencer to tell Trina that he’d been working to prove her innocence all along, but after he finds Trina kissing Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) Spencer thinks better of it.
GH Recaps: Thursday, August 18
Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) delights in telling Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) that Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) has skipped town rather than submit to her blackmail. In response, Anna conscripts Lucy into helping her… Several Q family members help Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) find his new signature look and hits upon a sure-fire winner: updated Eddie Maine chic.
Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) fills Olivia in on his mother’s true identity. Dante Falconeri (Dominique Zamprogna) makes reference to an incident from his and Cody’s youth but the convo is interrupted by Britt; she’s come to give Cody the opportunity to come clean once and for all… Liz flashes back to an incident from her girlhood.
General Hospital Recaps: Friday, August 19
The Davis clan makes it their mission to get Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Dante’s romance back on track. Olivia likewise works to get her son and his lady friend back on the same page. Sam and Dante ultimately come together and agree to take things a bit slower… Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) tried to play matchmaker for Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).
Finn’s concern for Liz’s mental health deepens; he reaches out to Ms. Doctor Webber… Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) once again failed to pick up on the signals being put out by Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson)… Mason (Nathanyael Grey), Austin Gatlin-Holt’s (Roger Howarth) ne’er-do-well cousin makes Maxie’s acquaintance… Cody swears blind that he’s not out to scam Britt.
