General Hospital recap for Wednesday, March 10, 2021, features an innocent man interrogated, a devastated loved one, and a relationship decision, finally.
After Maxie (Kirsten Storms) let Peter (Wes Ramsey) into her hospital room, he asked her to run off with him and put their relationship first above all the “lies” she’s been told. Peter reassured her that he took care of everything, and the past could not touch them.
When pressed what he actually meant by all that, Peter flashed back to right after he shot Franco. He found Franco’s (Roger Howarth) phone where his entire confession was recorded. Peter deleted the recording and placed it back into Franco’s pocket.
Thinking that he had once again convinced her to believe him, Maxie shocked Peter and finally delivered a big fat NO. She told him that she loved him, but the fact is that the man she loved never existed.
Reeling over the death of her husband, Liz (Rebecca Herbst) stayed firm in wrongly accusing Jason (Steve Burton). When Jordan (Briana Nicole Henry) pressed her as to how she knew for sure that it was Jason who shot him, Liz told her about Franco’s request to have Jason take him out if things got too dark with his tumor.
Even though Liz didn’t actually see Jason shoot Franco, Jordan believed her, especially after Liz doubled down that her friend wouldn’t have hesitated for a second to shoot Franco, and that the proof was in his actions.
Mac (John J. York) and eventually Jordan questioned Jason about what happened inside Franco’s art studio, but Jason insisted that he didn’t know since he arrived on the scene after. He was later released but not without facing major wrath from Franco’s loved ones, especially Scott (Kin Shriner), who was told by Laura (Genie Francis) what happened.
Cameron (William Lipton), determined to talk Franco into moving back home, and more importantly, to empower his will to fight the brain tumor, left a heartbreaking voicemail for his stepfather. The call came into too late, though, as Franco’s body was taken away.
Cameron later dreamt that Franco came home and told him that he heard the message, and he left some things unsaid too. Franco said he never thought he could have children because he worried about how he would be as a father. The boys changed all that for him, and the two exchanged their love and gratitude for one another. But Liz came home and told Cameron the heart-wrenching news.
With threats all around them and Cyrus (Jeff Kober) on the warpath, Laura stressed to Carly (Laura Wright) that she must keep her guard up regarding him. Cyrus still doesn’t know where his mother is, Laura said, so he’s more dangerous than ever.
The two ladies bonded over missing their friend and husband, Sonny (Maurice Benard), and Laura told Carly that if he was still here, she thinks he would tell her to “pray for peace and prepare for war.” General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
