The General Hospital recap features Neddie deciding he could be the Savoy opening act.
In this episode, Neddie attempted to go full Eddie Maine with guitar in hand as his family watched in horror. Neddie also took a liking to Sonny and Nina. Laura and Felicia tried to do their best to get Anna to stop pitying herself while Robert had a tense run-in with Diane. Finally, Trina and Spencer wanted to enjoy a night in but Esme kept getting in the way. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
As Nina (Cynthia Watros) discussed Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) case with Ava (Maura West) on the phone, Neddie (Wally Kurth) came up behind her and told her that she was the woman he had been looking for. Nina freaked out at first, but it turned out that Neddie just wanted to have a drink and discuss the Port Charles music scene. When he introduced himself as Eddie, Nina was relieved.

When Sonny (Maurice Benard) saw Nina and Neddie together, he didn’t know what to make of the situation, so he horned his way into their conversation. Sonny (Maurice Benard) insisted on buying Neddie a drink so they could talk music while Nina called Olivia. Of course, Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) refused to answer, so she tried Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) next. At least BLQ picked up the phone and learned where her father was.
Robert (Tristan Rogers) soon arrived and interrupted Sonny to talk about Diane (Carolyn Hennesy). Lo and behold, that is when Diane and Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) showed up and heard the conversation. Diane took Robert to speak alone, but they didn’t get very far when Eddie Maine made his Savoy stage debut. However, before he could complete a song, he nearly passed out.
This sent Olivia into more hysterics, and Sonny was tasked with calming her down. He explained that Neddie has too many people trying to pressure him into being someone he doesn’t remember, which gave Olivia some food for thought.
To that end, she tried to talk to Neddie without putting pressure on him, but it didn’t go very well because Olivia can’t do anything in a calm manner. Eventually, Neddie agreed to go home with Sonny.
Laura (Genie Francis), Felicia (Kristina Wagner), and Robert stopped by Anna’s (Finola Hughes) place to get her to enjoy a night at The Savoy but found her burning things from her past life as a spy. She just wanted to be alone and didn’t appreciate the interruption. Her friends didn’t care and wanted to get her out of the house. It turned out the whole thing was Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) idea, but that didn’t matter to Anna.
Finally, Laura insisted that Robert leave so she and Felicia could speak to Anna alone. Anna admitted this wasn’t about what other people thought of her but instead what she thought about her own self. She felt that working for the WSB helped her balance the scales against what she had done with the DVX, but now that was taken away from her. Finally, Anna decided she would give herself some purpose by joining Laura and Valentin in Russia. Laura did her best to talk Anna out of that idea while promising Anna she would find a new path in life.
Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) bonded over Baby Ace (Jay and Joey Clay), but Esme worried about what would happen when Laura and Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) left for Russia to find Nikolas. Trina (Tabyana Ali) soon interrupted with a knock on the door, and Esme did not like Trina’s attempt to get Spencer to enjoy an evening with her.
Esme nicely made herself scarce, and Trina admitted it was weird to see Spencer and Esme getting along but finally got a few moments alone where they discussed Trina’s hot mess of a family. Esme walked in to find a binky for Ace, and Trina tried to give her baby advice. Esme was not having it, so when Spencer and Trina were alone again, she reiterated her determination to find real evidence to send Esme to prison.
When Esme interrupted a second time to get Spencer to sing to Ace, Trina decided to leave while assuring herself Esme wouldn’t be in their lives forever. Before she walked out the door, she witnessed what looked like a family scene between Esme, Spencer, and Ace.
