General Hospital recap for Friday, March 12, 2021, features paternity denied, a bond reignited, and a showdown with a once mother and son.
Jackie (Kim Delaney), not wanting to have what happened to Anna (Finola Hughes) and Peter (Wes Ramsey) to happen to their family, insisted that Chase (Josh Swickard) hear the truth about what happened that night with Finn (Michael Easton) and the results of the DNA test.
After vying for some privacy to figure out how to tell Chase first, Finn blurted out that he slept with Jackie, which left Chase shocked and angry. All got sidetracked on that night’s betrayal before Gregory (Gregory Harrison) insisted that Jackie step up now and tell Chase the whole truth before he did.
Devastated for both himself and the only father he has ever known, Chase kicked Finn and Jackie to the curb and told them he didn’t want to know the DNA results. Regardless, they just blew up his life, he said and cried in Gregory’s arms.
Anna surprised Peter at work with a visit. Before she even stated her reasons for showing up, Peter blasted his former mother (now officially his aunt) for being the accuser, judge, jury, and now executioner.
Anna cut him off and said she had a message from his father, Faison. She quoted what Peter said at the hospital to Maxie (Kirsten Storms) regarding leaving the past behind and only focusing on their future. That was exactly what Faison told her years ago, which resulted in his lifelong obsession with her. She begged Peter not to follow in his footsteps with Maxie.
Peter turned all her words of caution back onto Anna and called the kettle black–she was just like Faison. The emotionally charged conversation ended up with Peter embracing his entire persona, and he told Anna it was a relief to not play “good Peter” anymore.
Jason (Steve Burton) interrupted them and showed up at the door right after Peter told Anna that he would make her pay. If looks could kill…
Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) offered support to Nina (Cynthia Watros) regarding the loss of Franco (Roger Howarth) and updated her about the failed double wedding and why. Nina felt devastated for Maxie and offered support back to Valentin, regarding his decision to cross Peter and protect Maxie.
Nina explained what united her with Franco, and the fact that neither one of them had children until he married Liz (Rebecca Herbst) and became a father to the boys. Valentin reminded her that she has Wiley now, but Nina updated him on Michael’s (Chad Duell) orders to stay away for now.
Valentin agreed that Nina messed up big time when she told Wiley that Willow was not his real mommy, but he offered all of his help to rectify the situation. He later contacted Michael in hopes of making a deal.
Willow (Katelyn MacMullen expressed her frustrations to Michael about Nina’s intentions when she told Wiley that he was not her real mother. She surmised that she needs to find a way to tell Wiley the truth without him ever second-guessing her love for him. Michael told her he was behind her 100 percent, always.
It wasn’t pretty but a battered and bruised Sonny (Maurice Benard) won a lot of money at the poker game and gave the jackpot to Phyllis (Joyce Guy) and Lenny (Rif Hutton) so they could save the bar. His win didn’t come without a physical showdown with his competitor, which left his friends and foes with more questions about his past. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC.
