The General Hospital recap features Elizabeth Baldwin Webber coming clean with Hamilton Finn about what went on in the north tower at Wyndemere.
In this episode, Finn was shocked by everything Elizabeth had to say. Elsewhere in the hospital, Spencer let Nikolas know he saw his dad’s taped confession to Ava as Ava spent some more time bonding with Austin. At The Savoy, Brook Lynn and Chase shared some tense moments before he learned some truths from Blaze. Finally, Joss turned to Dex for comfort and let out all her feelings. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) took the opportunity to tell the whole sordid tale of her adventures in the north tower with Nikolas (Adam Huss) and Esme, (Avery Kristen Pohl) leaving Finn (Michael Easton) shocked. He was happy she told him the truth, but mainly just stood there and listened with a judgmental expression on his face, as if he and Liz didn’t try to hide Peter’s (Wes Ramsey) not-so-dead body in a freezer almost two years ago.
This all came as a surprise to Finn, especially when she told him that he was the only reason she made up the pregnancy lie. After all, he saw her with the prenatal vitamins he spotted at Wyndemere and couldn’t let him know they were for Esme. Elizabeth then told him that she was going to make a confession to the police, and Finn didn’t look very happy about that.
As Laura (Genie Francis) looked on in the hospital chapel, Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) informed Nikolas that he expects him to sign over his rights to Esme’s baby and give Spencer custody. Nikolas wanted to know why Spencer thought he would do such a thing, so Spencer cleverly used the exact same words Nikolas used in his confession video to warn Nikolas that he could put him behind bars for a very long time, especially when he mentioned Jordan.
Laura had no clue what Spencer was trying to say since the words were vague, but Nikolas knew and told his son that teaming up with Ava (Maura West) was the wrong thing to do. He hardly even recognized Spencer anymore and walked out of the chapel with Laura following. She begged Nikolas to not abandon Spencer, and it felt like an anvil when Nik hugged Laura and told her she was the best mother he could ever have.
Over at Kelly’s, Ava and Austin (Roger Howarth) shared some dessert, and she told him all about her divorce and getting the castle as her prize. When she left to head to Wyndemere, Mason (Nathanyael Grey) was watching, and Austin was suspicious as to what he was up to. As for Ava, she was forced to answer the door to Nikolas, who clearly wanted a confrontation.
Josslyn (Eden McCoy) showed up at Dex’s (Evan Hofer) apartment, all stressed out about whether Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) will live or not. She also said she felt guilty about not going to Britt’s memorial after she was the one who saved Joss’ life. After all, she couldn’t leave her niece’s side to go down to the hospital chapel. Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Nina (Cynthia Watros) managed it when that baby is healthy, and happy, and their granddaughter, but Josslyn must be special.
Dex told Joss he felt bad about being in her life since he seemed to have caused her so much trouble, but Josslyn was definitely happy to have met him, as evidenced by her kissing him passionately.
Finally, Chase (Josh Swickard) once again told Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) that all he wanted to do was be a cop and he would be leaving the music biz soon. He also told Blaze this, and she confessed that she would have nobody by her side if he quit because signing with Linc has made her life a living hell. When Chase saw Linc making moves on Brook Lynn, he started reconsidering his decision.
