The General Hospital recap for Friday, December 15, 2023, features Lucy and BLQ spitting out insults when the latter reported for duty at the office.
Also in this episode, Sonny got a gift from Heaven, Diane and Robert made things official, Marty and Laura talked about their other brother, Alexis and Jordan compared notes, and Kristina confided in Blaze. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
Things got heated at Deception when Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) surprised Maxie (Kirsten Storms) by showing up to work. Yes, work. And, not just everyday work. BLQ laid out her plan to take Tracy (Jane Elliot) up on her offer to hand over the shares.
And, not just that. Brook Lynn’s plan was to get the shares and give them to Maxie and make her the sole owner. Maxie was stunned. Grateful, but stunned.

Not as happy to see BLQ was Lucy (Lynn Herring), though. She exploded the second she saw Brook Lynn in the office. They got into it, and it wasn’t pretty. There was a whole lot of hollering and accusation-slinging.
In the end, BLQ pointed out Lucy’s feelings did not matter. Tracy owned the majority, and BLQ was there to work. Lucy had no say. With that, Lucy stormed off, and Brook Lynn made Maxie promise to take the shares and run with it when they finally acquired them.
A Mayor’s job is never done, especially when there is a murder investigation going on. Laura (Genie Francis) met up with Martin (Michael E. Knight) to talk about the case and whether or not Cyrus (Jeff Kober) was the man behind the gun. Martin didn’t think so. What motive would he have to be bad, especially since he’s trying too hard to impress his family?
Sonny (Maurice Benard) said much the same when Laura called him to her office. The mob boss didn’t think it made sense since it would be much too obvious. Whoever killed Austin is a slime and a sneak, but it wasn’t Cyrus. (Read all about Austin’s murder here.)
After leaving Laura’s, Sonny met up with Michael (Chad Duell) and Donna (Scarlett Spears). The pair had been shopping, and Donna had picked out something for everyone — except Sonny. Instead, her daddy was getting a special wish.
As luck would have it, Sonny did get a gift in the form of his father’s hat. Michael found it on a bench, and Sonny was astounded. He couldn’t believe his eyes. What a miracle.
Also talking presents were Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) and Cody (Josh Kelly). She dropped one off at his house and followed it up with a flirty game of hide and seek. After a bit more flirting, they decided the timing wasn’t right since she was still in mourning. Instead they almost but didn’t kiss, and she went on her way.
At the same time, Robert (Tristan Rogers) and Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) decided to put a label on their sweet romance. “Dating.” It was perfect. What better way to describe what was going on between them?
Meanwhile, Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) headed to Kristina’s (Kate Mansi) apartment to hear her “big news.” To say she was shocked by the surrogacy plan was an understatement. She wondered if this was really what Kristina wanted. To her credit, Kristina claimed it truly was. She felt it in her gut.
The one question Kristina had was whether or not a pregnancy would throw off their budding romance. Blaze was supportive and claimed she liked Kristina and wanted to see how things went between them — pregnancy or no pregnancy.
Also discussing the surrogacy were Jordan (Tanisha Harper) and Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn). They both agreed they weren’t exactly on board. However, in the end, it was not their decision to make. They don’t have a vote. All they can do is hope for the best.
