Drew and Ava Team Up on GH
Never in a million years did GH fans expect Ava (Maura West) to team up with Drew (Cameron Mathison) of all people, especially considering her close friendship with Nina (Cynthia Watros). However, that’s exactly what she did, all in the name of destroying Sonny (Maurice Benard) and his family.
Drew had an opportunity to become a better person while locked in, but he came back worse than ever. Even with that knowledge, Ava proposed a deal with Drew to use their common hatred for Sonny to help each other out.
All In the Name of Being a Good Parent
They played the “woe-is-me” card and blamed Sonny and his family for so many problems. The more Drew and Ava talked, the more their conversation turned to Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) and Avery (Ava & Grace Scarola).
In true Ava and Drew fashion, they both insisted that their dirty deeds are all because of their love for their children. Drew and Ava even found common ground over their fear that someone in their child’s family would turn their child against them.
Ava cited Sonny, Carly (Laura Wright), Josslyn (Eden McCoy), or Michael (Rory Gibson) as reasons Avery could turn against her. Meanwhile Drew brought up Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), dismissing his restraining order against Danny (Asher Antonyzyn).
Then they agreed to help each other out with Sonny, and a new GH villian duo was born.
This Will Not End Well For Ava
There’s no question that Ava and Drew riled each other up. It’s also pretty clear neither of them can trust the other.
Let’s be honest, Drew and Ava have no loyalty to anyone other than their kids. When given the chance, Ava or Drew will throw the other under the bus in a heartbeat.
Aside from that, Drew has nothing to lose in this situation other than his life when Sonny finds out. Although with the new legit Sonny in Port Charles, that may not even be an issue.
On the other hand, Ava could very well lose the most important person in the world to her, Avery. Ava has already lost one daughter, which is why she’s the way she is about Avery, but it’s not smart.
Crossing Sonny has never worked out well for Ava. It always lands her in some trouble and danger, and this time won’t be an exception. Sonny especially won’t like it that Ava teamed up with Drew of all people.
Those are just a couple of reasons why Ava working with Drew is one of her biggest mistakes ever, and boy, has she made some major mistakes since she came to Port Charles.
