The General Hospital recap for Friday, December 8, 2023, features Anna ripping into Valentin and demanding he do right by his daughter.
Also in this episode, trees were lit, Tracy came home, Chase and BLQ announced their engagement, and Kristina officially signed on to have Molly’s baby. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
Anna (Finola Hughes) paid Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) a visit. She updated him that Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) was cleared in the inferno at her home. Valentin was relieved and pushed to find out who did it. However, Anna kept her lips zipped. She didn’t trust him anymore after all his secrets and lies.
Speaking of that, Valentin admitted he hid the truth for fear of losing Anna. He was sure she’d end their romance if she found out. Well, Valentin, we’ll never know since it all fell apart because of his silence.

Anna hoped Valentin would do the right thing and get Charlotte help. Sure, she wasn’t an arsonist, but she still did plenty of terrible things, and look at what it all led to! Instead of enabling, it was time for Valentin to start parenting.
The proud Papa got defensive, of course. It wasn’t Charlotte’s fault she did what she did. It was Victor’s doing! Even more reason to get her help, right? Valentin eventually agreed and even apologized. Too little, too late. Anna took her leave.
Over at the Quartermaine house, Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) and Lois (Rena Sofer) decided it was far too close to Christmas to have an undecorated mansion. They ordered a tree, pulled out the ornaments, poured a drink, and got to work.
Soon, Cody (Josh Bell) joined him, which pleased the gals. After some talk of why he called Olivia “Mama Q,” he got some lessons on titles and etiquette. All in good fun, of course. It wasn’t long before the trio decked the hall (literally).
At the same time, Tracy (Jane Elliot) was on a flight home. Unlike the ladies, she wasn’t in a festive spirit. She looked at a picture of her and Luke (Anthony Geary) on her phone and did her best not to cry. It seemed her mood didn’t get much better when she reached the house. She took one look at the decorations and declared it simply would not do. (Look back at Luke’s death here.)
Also throwing around lights and tinsel were Gregory and his sons. He and Violet (Jophielle Love) set up their wonky tree as Finn (Michael Easton) and Liz (Rebecca Herbst) arrived, followed by Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard).
Violet made a wish as the tree lit up. Her wish came true when she found out Chase and BLQ were engaged. He even got down on one knee (for the third time) to put the ring on her finger for Violet’s viewing pleasure. Best Christmas ever!
Now, onto more important matters — when is Daddy going to do the same with Liz? Cue the awkwardness. Instead of waiting for an answer, Violet and Chase put on a sweet little performance for the family.
Meanwhile, TJ (Tajh Bellow) and Molly (Kristen Vaganos) took a moment of pause before knocking on Kristina’s (Kate Mansi) door. They checked in with each other to make sure this is what they really wanted. Yes. Yes, it was. With that, they went into the apartment.
Kristina was more than happy to hear the plan was still on. The Davis sisters shared apologies and promises of peace and love. They all agreed to share in the joy of bringing new life into the world and toasted with ginger ale.
