The General Hospital recap for Thursday, January 11, 2024, features a special turn of events when three key players realized Angela was not just any reporter.
Also in this episode, Carly and Felicia finished Bobbie’s last mission and those who loved Bobbie sang her praises and told stories of the past. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
It was a trip around the world for Carly (Laura Wright) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner). They wasted no time in Amsterdam asking questions and keeping a keen eye out for anyone who could be Bobbie’s contact. As they suspected, she walked right into the cafe.
After some pleasantries and explaining who they were, the contact opened up about Bobbie’s recent activities and the mystery woman she left behind. The young lady she saved was Cornelia. The organization managed to get her to a cabin in Canada but the woman knew nothing after that about what happened to Corneila.
A cabin you say?! Carly knew it had to be Luke’s! She and Felicia quickly got back on the road and zoomed off to the Great White North. However, they had a bit of trouble on the way.

The ladies were engaged in a conversation about why they never got close with each other when they nearly hit a moose. Oops! A bump on the head and a flat tire were the only damages. While changing the tire, they worked out their problems and promised to be better friends going forward.
Once at the cabin, all hell nearly broke loose when Cornelia opened the door and began swinging a shovel around. Thankfully, she saw Bobbie’s necklace on Carly’s neck and let her explain. Bobbie was gone, but the ladies were there to help.
After a few calls to Robert (Tristan Rogers) and Anna (Finola Hughes), the young woman was safe. She was granted asylum and set up in her new life (off-screen, of course).
Meanwhile, back in Port Charles, Maxie (Kirsten Storms) arranged for Angela Brighton (Brighton Hertford) to interview Bobbie’s nearest and dearest.
First up was Laura (Genie Francis). She relayed her and Bobbie’s rough start as they fought over a man. She also talked about Bobbie being sympathetic but always ready with a reality check.
Next was Lucas (Ryan Carnes). He talked about what it was like being Bobbie’s son and how insistent she was he be called by his actual name and not a nickname. He joked how his sister, BJ, called him Champ to get under her skin.
Michael (Chad Duell), Joss (Courtney Fulk), and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) told a tale of two weddings. Bobbie showed up in a black veil for Michael’s marriage to Nelle but welcomed Willow with open arms.
Finally, Scott (Kin Shriner) and Lucy (Lynn Herring) had their turn. Scott said Bobbie was upbeat and cheery. She had a smart mouth, though. Oh boy, did Lucy know that. Lucy was asked why she showed up for Bobbie even if they didn’t always get along. The original frenemies. Lucy said BJ meant a lot to her, and by extension, Bobbie did too.
Lastly, Liz (Rebecca Herbst) had a seat. She talked about Bobbie taking care of her as a teen who’d been raped. Bobbie helped her through it all both medically and personally. She became a nurse because of her.
Later, Felicia and Carly returned from their trip and went straight to the hospital. Felicia updated everyone while Liz fixed up the gash on Carly’s head. Carly asked if she was still willing to make a new sign. And, yes, Liz was. Carly had a new idea for it though.
By the time the sign was done, Liz brought it to Kelly’s to show everyone and they all shared an emotional moment. Once alone, Carly hung the new fixture. Kelly’s will now be known as “Bobbie’s.”
Outside, Lucas saw Angela. They shared a brief exchange before saying goodbye. In a shocking twist, Angela’s last words to him were calling him “Champ” — before disappearing!
Over at Maxie’s, she searched and searched for the business card from Angela. Not only that, she couldn’t find any information online about this woman. Felicia made a call to the AP and it was in those moments, they both realized Angela wasn’t Angela at all. She was BJ!
