Soap fans have loved watching General Hospital actor Michael Easton since he made his daytime debut back in 1990 as Tanner on Days of Our Lives! Now, those same supporters are reaching out to the actor today as he celebrates something special!
Easton was born on February 15, 1967, which means he turned 52 years old on Friday. Easton’s unique to daytime in that he’s played multiple roles in the same ABC Daytime universe!
He started out as Stephen Clay and Caleb Morely on GH spinoff Port Charles. After that show wrapped, he began a long run as Det. John McBain on One Life to Live.
After that series left the airwaves, Easton brought McBain over to GH; later, he took on the role of Dr. Silas Clay, Stephen’s brother, who practiced medicine at General Hospital. Poor Silas was murdered, but Easton later checked back into GH as Dr. Hamilton Finn, his current incarnation.
Off-screen, Easton’s a talented scribe, who has written screenplays, poetry, and a graphic novel.
His collection of poems, Eighteen Straight Whiskeys, were printed in 1997, 2002, and, in 2018, a signed collector’s edition was released.
In 2013, Easton’s graphic novel, Credence (published by Blackwatch Comics) was released. He also co-authored The Green Woman for Vertigo Comics, a division of DC Comics.
For the screen, Easton has written Beautiful Loser, a biopic of late film star Montgomery Clift, that’s currently in development.
