Everybody knows the trope – happily married couples don’t get to see much of the front burner on General Hospital. If you want a juicy story, you better get unhappily unmarried… fast.
General Hospital Polling
But does that always have to be true? Can’t a married couple have a story that doesn’t include infidelity or even a suspicion of it? Which GH married couple should be spotlighted – happily? What over 3,000 viewers told us:
‘Fac’ That
Mac (John J. York) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) are primed for action, say 45% of you. We got to see them for a hot minute while Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) was out of the loony bin and terrorizing Port Charles. Let’s have some more of that. Mac is a police detective and Felicia is a current-day busybody. Let’s see them solve some crimes! God knows the Jordan isn’t going to do it!
No ‘Niv’?
Ned (Wally Kurth) and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) are two others who could use some action, 27% of General Hospital fans say. He’s a Quartermaine, which means there’s plenty of trouble he can be stirring up in the boardroom, while she is way too close to the Corinthos clan for anybody’s own good. That’s gotta give them something to talk about!
Laura and Kevin: Mr. and Mrs. Mayor
Laura (Genie Francis) is an elected official in a town where the mob rules. Kevin is a psychiatrist in a hospital where the inmates are running the asylum. If you can’t write drama out of that set-up, you should be writing daytime drama, say 18% of the fans.
CarSon Capers
And then, there are the 9% who think we’re not seeing enough of Carly (Laura Wright) and Sonny (Maurice Benard). Aren’t they on every day? Though, at the moment, they do seem to be all about Michael (Chad Duell). Maybe you’d like to see more of them on their own? General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC.
