While General Hospital fans enjoy seeing Stephen A. Smith as Brick, Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) IT guy, it looks like the ESPN sports analyst may be tempted to appear on The Young and the Restless if Eric Braeden (Victor) has anything to say about it.
Braeden appeared on ESPN’s First Take to promote his new book “I’ll Be Damned,” which has a forward penned by none other than Stephen A. Smith himself!
During his entertaining appearance on the sports talk show, Braeden discussed his love of sports, and then later praised GH star, Maurice Benard. However, the man behind The Mustache said that Smith is guest starring on “the wrong damn show.”
Ultimately, Braeden wants to see Smith in Genoa City playing one of Victor’s henchman. Of course, it doesn’t appear as if Victor has a need for a henchman of late, but is it believable that he’s given up his old, devious ways? The chances that he’s truly changed are near zero. When the Newman patriarch gets back in the game, could you see Smith on Y&R as part of Victor’s devious plans?
Check out both videos below. In the first, Braeden discusses Smith visiting GC, and in the second, Braeden takes on some of Smith’s favorite phrases. And, don’t forget to pick up a copy of Braeden’s brand-new book in which he shares secrets of his show biz career.
