Ratings Roundup: General Hospital Reclaims Top Demo Spot

General Hospital got some good news in the latest ratings report. The medical-themed soap took the top spot in the coveted Women 18-49 demographic for the week ending Friday, September 25.

In W18-49, GH scored a .39, The Young and the Restless was second with a .38. The Bold and the Beautiful earned a .37, and Days of Our Lives came in fourth with a .32.

In households, however, YR was on top with a 3.02; BB was in second place with 2.78; GH was third with 2.08, and DAYS was fourth with 1.69.

Each rating point equals 1.210 million viewers so, YR had over 3.65 million viewers; BB had 3.36 million viewers, GH had 2.5 million viewers, and DAYS had 2 million viewers.

The Bold and the Beautiful

What storylines were drawing in viewers during this time? On BB, Liam (Scott Clifton) grew increasingly concerned that Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) was developing a dependency to painkillers. Steffy, while hooked on pills, went off on Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), Liam, and Hope (Annika Noelle) over Liam taking Kelly away from Steffy for her own safety.

Days of Our Lives

Over on DAYS, Brady (Eric Martsolf) worked overtime to straighten out Kristen’s (Stacy Haiduk) issues with the law. Bonnie (Judi Evans) gave Justin (Wally Kurth) an impulsive kiss after getting a check from her publisher. Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) continued to have nightmares about a missing Ciara (Victoria Konefal).

General Hospital

Over on General Hospital, Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) got emotional over not being able to see her son, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), and went on an adventure filled with intrigue with Robert (Tristan Rogers).

Back in Port Charles, Jordan (Brianna Nicole Henry) informed Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) that Neil died of a drug overdoes. In a shocking move, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) was announced as the new General Hospital chief of staff. Mike’s (Max Gail) loved ones continued to deal with the fallout of his passing away from Alzheimer’s.

The Young and the Restless

On YR, Lola (Sasha Calle) didn’t take well to Theo (Tyler Johnson) flirting with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan). Adam (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea talked about sending Connor (Judah Mackey) away to boarding school to keep him safe from the fallout related to Adam’s conflicts with Victor (Eric Braeden).

Also, Amanda (Mishael Morgan) learned that she is indeed the late Hilary’s twin. She shared that information with Devon (Bryton James) and Billy (Jason Thompson). Elena (Brytni Sarpy) couldn’t help but be affected by this news, concerned how it would affect Devon.
