Coming up in Port Charles

Ric (Rick Heaerst) informs Ava (Maura West), “You ask for plenty, and you’ll get it.” He’s got a briefcase, had some mysterious meetings with her, and now is telling her she’ll get “plenty.” Sonny (Maurice Benard) suspects Ric is gearing up to stab him in the back, but honestly, there’s a growing chance this whole thing boils down to Ric panic-buying expensive art from Ava as a gift for his brother. Nothing underhanded to see here.

A flabbergasted Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) tells Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), “All of them are lying about what actually went down that night.” Which, to be fair, is Port Charles’ unofficial town slogan at this point. Nobody can seem to explain what happened on those piers when Jason (Steve Burton) allegedly shot Cullum (Andrew Hawkes), and the deeper Dante digs, the more the whole story starts wobbling like a shopping cart with one cursed wheel.

“Nathan” puts pressure on Lulu (Alexa Havins), telling her, “You gotta send him away, tonight.” Cassius has Josslyn (Eden McCoy) locked up, tensions are climbing through the ceiling tiles, and he’s trying to get Lulu to protect Rocco (Finn Carr) before this whole thing detonates into generational trauma with commercial breaks.

Meanwhile, Jack (Chris McKenna) asks, “You have something for me on Valentin?” and all roads currently seem to lead straight toward Nina (Cynthia Watros), whether Carly (Laura Wright) likes it or not. Carly tells Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), “Come up with a solution that doesn’t involve her,” with the exhausted energy of someone who would rather wrestle a live raccoon than voluntarily partner with Nina on literally anything.

And finally, Sonny warns Ethan (Nathan Dean), “Once this starts, there’s no stopping it.” Which is never the sort of sentence that ends with a peaceful brunch and a learning experience. Sonny’s clearly preparing to take extreme measures, and somewhere out there Ric should probably avoid docks, trunks of cars, suspicious warehouses, and frankly any extension cord within a five-mile radius.
