Coming up in Port Charles

Carly (Laura Wright) questions Nina (Cynthia Watros), asking, “There has to be a common cause. Don’t you think?” She’s obviously clocking the fact that Jack (Chris McKenna) just collapsed with a stroke in the exact same house where Drew (Cameron Mathison) mysteriously stroked out earlier. Carly’s basically one suspicious eyebrow raise away from pinning photos to a corkboard and becoming the FBI’s most caffeinated volunteer consultant.

Trina (Tabyana Ali) tells Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton), “I want to do it. On one condition.” She’s clearly ready to move forward with music, which probably has BLQ internally throwing confetti cannons around the Quartermaine mansion. And honestly, if the condition involves Gio (Giovanni Mazza), that makes perfect sense because this show has been practically air-dropping “future music duo” energy onto them for weeks now with all the subtlety of a marching band crashing through the Metro Court lobby.

Dante (Dominic Zamprognay) finally has the tough conversation with Rocco (Finn Carr) about the shooting, during which he shares his speculations about Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), stating, “She’s got something going on with Cullen, and she’s hiding something.” Which is awkward, considering Britt is currently the only adult Rocco trusts enough not to completely unravel in front of. Dante’s trying to protect his son, but he’s also entering full detective-dad mode where every person within fifty feet of the situation starts looking suspicious enough to interrogate under a flickering lamp.

Britt weighs her options and tells Lucas (Van Hansis), “I think it would be best for everyone if I just disappeared.” Right, because fleeing town while needing her experimental Huntington’s medication sounds incredibly sustainable and not at all like the opening act of a future medical catastrophe. Britt always defaults to self-sacrifice the second things get emotionally complicated, which in Port Charles is roughly every eleven minutes.

And Justine (Nazneen Contractor) informs Sonny (Maurice Benard), “I didn’t do it for Ric. I did it for you.” Sonny probably thanked her for talking him down before he did something reckless, which honestly narrows it to about forty possible conversations this month alone. But the important thing here is that Justine just tossed a giant emotional breadcrumb directly at Sonny’s expensive loafers, and their slow-burn chemistry energy is heating up.
