From the time Sam McCall first popped up on General Hospital almost 20 years ago, she’s had no shortage of male admirers. She’s been married, she’d been divorced, she’s had children, she’s gone on the run.
General Hospital Polling
Sam has led an exciting life, and she’s had some amazing loves. But which pairing was her all-time best?
Sam McCall Hit and Run
Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), obviously, 64% of the fans can’t believe they were even required to hit the vote button for something so inarguable. Jason is the love of Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) life. He’s the father of her son, Danny, and she wanted him to be the father of her daughter, Scout. He kind of is, in a way. Sam has risked everything for Jason, more than once. Would she do that for anyone but the man she adores above all others?
General Hospital Upgrade
The real father of Scout, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), is whom she was happiest with, 20% of the audience counters. Even after Sam found out that he wasn’t Jason but just a guy who looked like Jason before the plastic surgery that made him no longer look like Jason because they were long-lost twins, she chose to stay with Drew over Jason. Because he wasn’t, you know, a criminal. And he actually put her and the kids first. Who wouldn’t adore a man like that above all others?
Strike Three For Sam McCall
Don’t feel too bad for Dante Falconeri, as 16% of you still believe he and Sam actually have a future together. They’ve combined households, combined kids, and are living the ideal existence for Sam, one where she’s with an upstanding man of the law… while his criminal father lives just down the hall. If you ignore that Sam’s first romance in Port Charles was with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and that Sonny was the father of Sam’s first child… as well as her current boyfriend… it isn’t creepy at all.
