After almost three decades of seeing neither hide nor hair of them, Liz Webber’s parents have finally made an appearance on General Hospital. It was mostly so they could explain to Liz how they’d lied to her for an equal amount of time, and why they were never around. Now that we’ve finally laid eyes on Dr. Jeff Webber and his wife, Carolyn, should they stick around?
General Hospital Polling
Liz (Rebecca Herbst) doesn’t need her Mom and Dad, 37% dismiss, not after all these years. But maybe her sons do. Cameron Webber (William Lipton) is about to be dumped and/or betrayed by his first girlfriend, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). Jake Webber is down his third father — after Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson), Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), and Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth).
And Aiden Spencer…has Aiden been remembered since he was bullied by Charlotte Cassadine? In any case, these kids might need some doting adults. If Jeff (William R. Moses) and Carolyn (Denise Crosby) ever felt like doting.
GH: No Good
Jeff and Carolyn don’t deserve a relationship with Elizabeth. And they don’t deserve ones with her sons, either. That’s how 32% of you see it. They gave up their rights when they gave up Elizabeth to muddle through on her own — after having accidentally killed Jeff’s mistress. You don’t come back from that.
Liz Webber: Kiss and Make Up
On the other hand, an almost equal 31% figure the Webbers need to do some serious healing, and the best way to kick it off is by Liz’s parents begging her for forgiveness. Even better, they can demonstrate how awful they feel through action, rather than mere words. Step in and help with the kids, be there for Elizabeth whenever she needs it…and stay out when she doesn’t. In other words, be helpful…and humble.
