When “One Life to Live” left the airwaves, Kristen Alderson brought her character, Starr Manning, to “General Hospital.” The show beautifully integrated Starr into the cast, and she was embraced by fans. Even when she had to play a new character, Kiki Jerome, Alderson was a hit.
Unexpected Exit
After Alderson had been paired with Chad Duell’s Michael, sparks flew. But the budding super couple’s rise to the top came to a screeching halt when Alderson left the show last year. Hayley Erin has finally started making the role her own and has two new suitors lined up – Morgan (Bryan Craig) and Dillon (Robert Palmer Watkins).
Soap Hub asked if you wanted to see this fan favorite back on GH and your answer was undeniable.
She’s a Starr Indeed
Out of about 2,000 votes, a whopping 90% of you remain aboard the Alderson train. You want her back on the show–and it doesn’t matter who she plays. The actress has already proven popular in two roles. Why not a third? It’s happened before on GH. Sarah Brown created the role of Carly, and later returned as Claudia while Laura Wright continued as Carly.
Plus, we all know there seemingly an endless supply of Port Charles roles for Michael Easton.

Early Retirement Can be Fun
A much smaller 7% of you don’t want her back. The actress worked most of her young life, creating the role of Starr at the age of six. She deserves a break from the rigorous soap grind. Soaps will be there when she’s ready.
