Key Person: Are Maxie Jones and Spinelli GH Endgame?

Maxie Jones has been through many men over the past decade on General Hospital. Most recently, there was the debacle with Peter August, the father of her daughter Bailey. Before him, there was Dr. Nathan West, the father of her son, James. But before either one of them, there was Maxie’s original baby daddy, Damian Spinelli.

They were never completely sure what they meant to each other. Were they lovers? Best friends? Platonic life partners? Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) won custody of their daughter, Georgie, and moved to Seattle to raise her with another woman. But he kept coming back. Supposedly it was so Georgie could see her mommy. But was it also so Spinnelli could see Maxie (Kirsten Storms)? Are they meant to be together forever?

Spinelli deserves a woman who truly loves him, not one who’s just using him in between other lovers, 7% defend. Maxie sees Spinelli as always being there for her, with no life of his own. That’s not fair to anyone.

Maxie Jones and Spinelli: Halfway There

Maxie truly loves Spinelli, 32% counter, but that’s not nearly as important as the fact that she also takes him for granted. Yes, he would be the one to make her happiest. But that doesn’t mean she deserves him under the circumstances.

Maxie and Spinelli are each other’s lobsters, to crib from Friends, and each other’s essential person to borrow from Grey’s Anatomy. They will never be happy with anyone else. Now, that doesn’t mean they’ll be happy with each other. But what they will be is comfortable. They will raise their daughter, as well as her brother and sister, and they will stop screwing up their love lives. Is there anything better than that, a winning 61% challenges? It will be a happily ever after…as unique as the two of them are.
