There was something in her not-so-innocent eyes from the moment this General Hospital (GH) character first knocked on the door of Casa Corinthos and Michael opened the door to find her standing there with her phony sweet smile.
Nobody trusted her, except maybe the Corinthos Clan, but the audience was onto her right away. There was no way this girl could be anything but sneaky, but we wanted to know her secret and why she had such a long-standing grudge against Carly.
Of course, Nelle’s (Chloe Lanier) secret turned out to be wholly ridiculous–that she was the daughter of Carly’s adoptive father who abandoned Carly (Laura Wright) when she could still barely walk and talk. Snore.
We had no idea why GH killed off Sabrina (Teresa Castillo) so Michael (Chad Duell) could have this love interest nobody wanted him to have, but such is soap life.
After trying to redeem Nelle, GH seemed to give up, made Ava (Maura West) her best friend, and let the girl just be who she is.
And who she is? Well, apparently she’s nuts. But, is she now nuttier than ever? Soap Hub asked just that question and nearly 8,000 of you weighed in.

Totally Out There
Sure is, say 88% of you. And that’s a lot. Now, Nelle is trying to gaslight Carly and drive her bonkers by making her think Morgan (or Morgan’s ghost?) is calling her every once in a while. Carly still hasn’t caught on that her calls are Morgan related, but when she does, will she even suspect Nelle?
Every little thing Nelle does is nuttier than the last thing and you wonder if she’s passed the point of no return or has even further down the rabbit hole to go.
She’s Always Been Out There
Then, there are the 12% of you that think she’s always been this insane in the brain and don’t see her latest actions as going over the edge. She arrived in Port Charles over the edge, with her stay in a mental institution seemingly doing no good. This is just the real Nelle in all her wacky glory. And you either love it or hate it.
