When Esme Prince first showed up on General Hospital, she simply seemed to be your garden variety, soap-opera bad girl. First, she wanted Spencer…we thought. Then she wanted Nikolas…we thought. She framed Trina for releasing Joss and Cam’s sex video, and she turned up pregnant with Nikolas’s baby. And, oh, yeah, she was also revealed to be Ryan Chamberlain’s daughter, doing his bidding.
General Hospital Polling
Then her crazy mama, Heather (Alley Mills), showed up. Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) wasn’t a bit sorry for anything she did. Until she got amnesia. And now she’s horrified to be filled in on her past. Is this the first step toward Esme’s redemption? Here’s what over 2,000 voters told us.
GH Sex, Lies & Videotape
Esme can never be forgiven for what she did to Cam (William Lipton) and Joss (Eden McCoy), according to 9% of the audience. This is the worst thing anyone in Port Charles has ever done, and she must be reminded of it at every opportunity.
Esme Prince: Soap Suds
Not only is this not the worst thing anyone on a soap has ever done, but as 31% of you know well, anyone and everyone is redeemable on a soap. If Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) could end up being the hero of Port Charles, and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is the noblest man in town, Esme should have no trouble earning forgiveness for her petty crimes.
General Hospital Pay Day
We’ll forgive her eventually, 60% assert, but first, she needs to pay for her crimes. Falling off the parapet was a nice start. Twice. Women becoming victims is the best way to win back sympathy. And she seems to love her baby. If “Ace” is taken away from her, that would be some more suffering. Which will make her more lovable. She’s on the right path. Keep it going, GH.
