Poor Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital. He’d just about talked his wife into taking him back after his little cheating with teeny-bopper Esme Prince slip-up — Ava Jerome Cassadine was weakened after being stabbed and nearly dying, so Nik had an advantage there — when said teeny-bopper showed up…a teeny bit pregnant.
Oops. Nik (Marcus Coloma) stashed Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) in a dungeon while he tried to figure out what to do. Ava (Maura West) doesn’t know about it…yet. But should she take Nik back, in any case?
They can get together eventually, 52% of the audience is feeling generous. But Ava should really make Nik suffer first. He really and truly hurt her. But, more importantly, he needs to be taught a lesson. Ava can’t put him in a learning loop where he thinks he can do anything he wants…and Ava will always forgive him. It’s better if he’s on edge…at all times.
Aw, come on, lighten up, 34% of you urge. Those crazy kids are obviously in love. And couples who are in love should always be together. No matter how many pregnant femme fatales are locked in their tower. Does that really matter in the end? Romance, folks, romance!!!
Nik was never been a saint, but what he’s done to Esme is unforgivable say 14%. The affair was one thing. Holding her prisoner is another. How can Ava be with a man who would do this to anyone, much less the woman supposedly carrying his child?
What happens the next time Ava displeases Nik — or walks out on him? Will he lock her up, too? Is he starting a collection? We know Ava is a badass who can take care of herself. But why put yourself in the path of danger? Isn’t she done dating serial killers by now?
