Is it Really ‘Over’ Between Sonny and Alexis on General Hospital?

Things looked pretty bleak last week in the long-held friendship and understanding between Kristina’s parents, Sonny and Alexis. Despite their differences, the two have rarely been enemies and kept the peace over the years for the sake of their daughter.

However, when Sonny (Maurice Benard) stormed into Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Julian’s house last week and tore the place apart with a fireplace poker, things seemed to change. While Julian (William deVry) lay on the floor after Sonny took the poker to his back, he hugged Alexis in an odd manner and told her she is nothing to him now that she’s sided with his mortal enemy.

But, there was something in the way the two looked at each other that contradicted Sonny’s words. Alexis clearly had fear and horror in her eyes, but Sonny had a more subtle sense of understanding what was going on and that Alexis is in trouble.

Soap Hub asked if you believed Sonny when he told Alexis she was essentially dead to him, or if he was trying to tell her gets it and will be there when she’s ready to talk.

Out of about 6,000 votes, 80% of you have faith in Sonny and feel he’d never abandon Alexis. After all, they share a child and a deep and complicated history that’s hard to forget. Sonny has always been there for the mother of his children and you expect he’ll step up for Alexis when she needs him most.

A smaller 18% believe Sonny meant every word he said because you can’t cross Sonny Corinthos without paying for it. You don’t think he’ll do anything to harm Alexis, but you don’t think he’ll help her either.

The final 2% don’t even care. The GH mob stories are not your cup of tea and you’d rather focus on the romance that make soaps come alive.
