Michael Corinthos used to adore his stepfather, Sonny Corinthos, so much on General Hospital that not even being in a coma for months, thanks to a stray bullet to the head during one of Sonny’s stand-offs, was enough to make him turn on Dear Old Dad.
Michael knew that his biological father was AJ Quartermaine, but he didn’t care. It was Sonny4Evah. Sure, there was a brief period when Michael was cranky about Sonny having hung AJ on a meat hook to get him to sign the adoption papers, but he got over it. You know what Michael can’t get over? That Sonny doesn’t love Michael’s mommy anymore. Now it’s war! But which side are you on?
They’re both at fault, 55% of you are playing King Solomon. Sonny (Maurice Benard) was wrong to lose his memory and ever look at any woman other than Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), and Michael (Chad Duell) was wrong to plant a spy in Sonny’s organization. They should just hug it out. And kill Dex Heller (Evan Hofer). You know, just to be safe. And as a bonding thing.
Sonny is always right, 33% of the audience reminds, so how could he be wrong now? Sonny has every right to leave Carly and hook up with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). Especially when Carly full-out MARRIED Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) while Sonny was gone. Grow up, Michael!
A much smaller 12% is in line with Michael’s thinking. Sonny used to be all about family, so how could he walk out on his wife and children? Sure, Michael is a grown man with a child of his own, and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) isn’t his, but there are still Avery and Donna to consider. Won’t someone think of the children? And if Sonny won’t, well, then, he deserves to lose…everything.
