A few weeks ago, Soap Hub wrote about “The Happiness Curse” Jason and Sam seemed to suffer from on General Hospital. Sure, they were off fighting the bad guys to clear Jason’s name, but the story became more camp than drama–until now.
While it always seems like a baby can bring nothing but boredom and contentment to a soap couple in love, it doesn’t look like Jasam are in for an easy time of it.
Sam already acknowledged her past pregnancy troubles, and now Jason may have picked up malaria–that Sam also may have contracted. Soap Hub asked if you think Sam will be able to carry this new baby to term and get that happily-ever-after with Jason.
Out of more than 7,000 votes, 79% of you have hope for your favorite couple. After all they’ve been through over so many years, you don’t think the writers would give Jasam the chance at a second baby just to take that chance away. You think of this baby as a miracle baby just like Sam does and don’t expect anything to get in the way of a successful pregnancy.
A smaller 13% of you are waiting for the soap trauma to commence. You rarely see soap pregnancies without added drama surrounding them, so why should this one be any different. Besides, you know that happiness curse could be worse than the Helena Curse. Speaking of the Helena Curse, that’s one storyline you know isn’t over. Remember, Helena cursed those who “begat” Sam and those she “begets.”
