The Nominees
This actress was nominated in March, and is ranking again in April. Ava may be unbearable nowadays, but her portrayer Maura West is nailing every second of it. Ever since learning that Kristina (Kate Mansi) cut the brake lines and caused Ric’s (Rick Hearst) accident, she’s been out for blood — or at least, money from the Cassadine fortune via Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn). When she’s not blackmailing Alexis, she’s strutting around town with her riches again, and West is back to turning Ava into a villainess.

Say what you will about Drew, but Cameron Mathison has done an excellent job making his character creepier and creepier. Aside from being Congressman Cutthroat, Drew has managed to get Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) to make him her kids’ guardian if anything happens to her, paid someone at the clinic in Germany to tell Willow that Michael (Chad Duell) wants nothing to do with her, and is recruiting Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) for a documentary after paying for his surgery. It’s all red flags with Drew, and Mathison’s execution and eye contact have turned this once beloved character into a major villain.
As one of GH’s youngest, Finn Carr has had a lot more storyline as Rocco after Sam’s (ex-Kelly Monaco) death and his mom Lulu’s (Alexa Havins) return. But this month, his problems were centered around his grandfather, Sonny (Maurice Benard). Rocco hoped to have both his grandmother and his Grandma Laura (Genie Francis) at his upcoming debate, but because of the scrutiny Laura has faced due to being friends with Sonny, Carr shared an emotional scene with Benard in which he requested his grandfather didn’t attend his debate.

The Top Spot
The top spot this month goes to one of GH’s newcomers: Braedyn Bruner. The young actress stepped into the role of Emma back in December, and really found her footing this month as the granddaughter of Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). Bruner gave an emotional performance as she assured Anna that she would do better, and learned everything she knows from her. When she wasn’t opening up to her grandmother, Emma has been getting closer to Gio (Giovanni Mazza), while also working on making amends with her childhood frenemy, Josslyn (Eden McCoy).
