Name a General Hospital couple you’re actively rooting for. Laura (Genie Francis) and Kevin (Jon Lindstrom)? Liz (Rebecca Herbst) and Franco (Roger Howarth)? Jason (Steve Burton) and Sam (Kelly Monaco)?

We bet they’re all good. And, if they’re Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly (Laura Wright), they’re saints.

But wouldn’t it be fun to root for a (kinda) bad to the bone pairing? How about Scott (Kin Shriner) and Ava (Maura West)?

Sure, they’re not the worst people to ever hit Port Charles. That would be those terrible police people who have been cruelly targeting the Corinthos Coffee Importing business for all these years.

We’re intrigued, 76% bob their heads up and down, considering the possibilities. The actors have a past together from As the World Turns, and there’s definite chemistry there. Ava can always use a good lawyer, and Scott can always use a woman who understands and loves him for who he is — not whom she’d like him to be.

Ava is in a bad place after unknowingly sleeping with the man who killed her daughter. Scott will actually seem like a straight arrow in comparison!

For 24% of the audience, however, there is no appeal in this pairing. First of all, Ava needs to suffer. A lot. For what she did to Morgan if nothing else and, no, losing Kiki (Hayley Erin) does not make up for it.

And Scott just shouldn’t be in a relationship. He doesn’t know how to sustain one, as none of them end well. Then again, even Scott isn’t enough of a punishment for Ava. She deserves someone much worse.
