Does Oscar REALLY Want To Find His Father on ‘General Hospital’ (GH)?

General Hospital’s (GH) teen scene expanded recently with the addition of Oscar Nero (Garren Stitt), a friend of Josslyn’s (Eden McCoy), who is proving to be a little more than a friend–and a bit of a question mark.

The biggest mystery is who his father might turn out to be. Joss is encouraging Oscar to find out. What a chip off the old Carly (Laura Wright). Though Carly’s specialty is usually lying about paternity.

Lately, however, it’s starting to seem like Joss is more gung-ho about the project than Oscar. Does Oscar even want to find his bio dad? Almost 4,000 viewers aren’t so sure….

Push/Pull
Carly can be like a dog with a bone once she gets a bee in her bonnet and begins mixing metaphors like nobody’s business. I.e. Carly is a super-busybody and her daughter is turning out the same way.

That’s why 65% of you believe Joss is the driving force in this hunt, and Oscar is just going along because it keeps a pretty girl interested in him.

But, if that’s the case, then Oscar is just asking for trouble. Joss is clearly not going to stop until she finds what she’s looking for. And then Oscar will be stuck learning things he didn’t want to know. Things that could hurt him, and his heretofore unseen mother.

Viewers are really rooting for it to be Brenda (Vanessa Marcil). Could that make him the Alex we last saw her with? Not if Sonny (Maurice Benard) is his father, which is the other thing fans want.

Knowing Is Half the Battle
What kid doesn’t want to know who his dad is, counter 35% of the audience? Sure, Joss is taking the lead, but that’s just because she’s good at snooping. It’s in her blood.

If Oscar didn’t want to find out, he’d just tell Joss to drop it. The fact that he hasn’t means this is a passion project for both kids.
