General Hospital (GH) has been feeling pretty crowded lately with two Jasons on the canvas.
As everyone turns handsprings to try and figure out which one is the real turtle soup and which one is the mock, which one is the emotionless hit-man we all know and love, and which might be the twin who spent a couple of years with Franco (Roger Howarth) and his daffy adopted mama, a new theory has taken hold.
What if one is Jason Quarteramaine, the earnest medical student who wore funny Christmas sweaters and respected his parents (even when they were less than deserving of respect), and the other is a switcheroo pulled after AJ’s accident?
That would certainly explain the radical personality change, and the “amnesia” that led to the birth of Jason Morgan.
Here’s what over 3,000 of viewers had to say about the possibility of that!
This History Is No Mystery
Yes, cheer 74% of you! What a great use of history! And it makes perfect sense! After Jason and AJ (Sean Kanan) crashed, Helena (it’s always Helena, isn’t it?) replaced Jason Q with the “Drew” twin she’d been holding hostage for just this occasion. (Or, maybe it was Heather. It’s always either Helena or Heather.)
That’s why he woke up unable to remember anything, why he felt no connection to his family, and why he gravitated towards Sonny (Maurice Benard). After a childhood with Franco and a youth with Helena (or Heather), he naturally went for the next evilest person he could find.
So, it was this Jason that loved both Robin (Kimberly McCullough) and Sam (Kelly Monaco), and that’s why they felt a connection to him.
There Can Be Only One
No, push back 25%! That’s just too weird (on a show that once had an evil weather machine!). There should be only one Jason. Billy Miller or Steve Burton is fine, but make a commitment – and stick to it!
General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
