Fans have suspected for a while that Susan was somehow Paul’s motivation for killing all these people. Today, we learned we were right, but there are some things that make absolutely no sense.
OK, we now know that Dr. Mays botched Susan’s rape kit after Sloane attacked her, and the other patients must have hurt Susan somehow, but today Paul said he was done–except for Monica (Leslie Charleson)? Do the GH writers forget he tried killing Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman) the night of the Nurses’ Ball–you know, the time Lucas walked in so he injected him in the neck instead? Well, Bobbie is still alive, and Paul didn’t mention her as unfinished business today, so what gives?
While Richard Burgi’s performance has been outstanding and we look forward to learning more about Susan’s back story, the Bobbie attempted murder is a huge hole in this murder mystery motive.
We assume we’ll learn why Monica needs to go according to Paul’s deranged mind, but will we ever learn why he tried killing Bobbie? Was it just a plot device to delay Lucas (Ryan Carnes) and Brad’s (Parry Shen) wedding so they could have a lackluster ceremony in Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Julian’s (William deVry) living room while the cops searched for a dagger? Do the writers even remember that happening, since Lucas and Brad disappeared right after they said ‘I Do’?
Inquiring GH fan minds want to know. If this story is to make any sense at all, it can’t have enough holes to be Swiss cheese. It needs to have a reason for every plot point, and so far, we can’t find very many logical motives here.
