General Hospital (GH) fans have been waiting on the edge of their seats for Kirsten Storms to return to Port Charles.
Yes, Maxie’s adorable baby Georgie needs her, and it’s nice she has this great professional opportunity but, hello… Handsome Husband Nathan needs some love and attention, too! Mrs. West has been gone way too long.
Is That All There Is?
So finally — finally! — Maxie returned. Nathan (Ryan Paevey) was happy to see her. And then… she left.
In between, they talked about Man Landers. What about Man Landers? Turns out that Maxie is a fan. Sort of.
Open Up
Sounds like a pretty good opening for Nathan to tell Maxie about his and Amy’s (Risa Dorken) plot for him to continue being the face of Port Charles’ favorite advice columnist so that the real author, Amy, could nail down her book deal.
Except he doesn’t. And now Maxie has to leave again. (Why?)
All Build Up, No Pay Off
WHAT was that?
Viewers were promised an amazing return for the much-missed Maxie (and her portrayer, Kirsten Storms). Was this it? A flyby?
Where’s the passionate reunion? Where’s the love in the afternoon? Where’s the honesty?
Was this tease supposed to set up something bigger and better? Like what?
Maxie is not the most secure heroine ever to call Port Charles home. If she finds out her husband has been hatching schemes with a schemer who isn’t her, she’s likely to get pretty mad.
Is this the upcoming big story? And are they delaying the reveal so that Maxie can throw a tantrum about how Nathan had the chance to tell her, but didn’t?
Did they really need to be face-to-face in a room for that? He can’t text her?
So, in a nutshell, Maxie’s return both fizzled in the present, and as a set up for the future.
