Oh C’Mon General Hospital–We Know Luke’s Not Dead

We’re not sure if General Hospital was trying to play for laughs today or add more drama to the chaos on Cassadine Island.

We Needed More Laura
While Genie Francis continued to steal the show as Laura upstairs in the living room, her on-screen daughter, Lulu, had us rolling our eyes. We can’t blame poor Emme Rylan for the campy writing as Lulu meandered through the tunnels only to come upon a skeleton.

Of course, this skeleton had Luke’s ring and bracelet, so Lulu had to wonder if this was indeed her dad. Apparently, it didn’t occur to her there are some fiendish plots taking place above and all around her and anyone can place anything on a skeleton–it’s not like dead bones will argue with you.

Dad, Where Have You Been?
Now, if Lulu truly believed these bones belonged to Luke, that would mean he hasn’t been in touch with his daughter in quite a while. It takes some time for bodies to decompose so we’ll assume she has no idea where Luke is. And, just where is he anyway?

We know Tony Geary took off to his second home in Amsterdam when Luke walked off into the night a year ago this week, but we figured he’d keep in touch with family–or maybe not. Frankly, we want to know what Luke’s been up to.

Of course, what we really want is Luke himself to appear before us and explain what the heck’s been going on. We know. It’s either a pipe dream or the best kept secret in soaps. There’s been no word of a Geary return, but we’re smart enough to know GH wouldn’t kill him. So, today’s campy skeleton scene fell flat while we really just wanted to see if Jason and Sam would wake from their 5-day nap.
