Is Willow Showing Similarities To Nina And Nelle On General Hospital?

Willow has always been portrayed as sweet and innocent on General Hospital. Recently, however, things have changed, and she is showing signs of becoming more like her mother and her evil sister.

Like Mother, Like Daughter

Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) seemed like the black sheep of the family she never had. Her biological sister Nelle (Chloe Lanier) was one of the most evil characters in GH history. Mom Nina (Cynthia Watros) may not have been a murdering psychopath, but she is quite sneaky and underhanded.

On the other hand, Willow always played the poor, innocent victim, and everyone loved her. Things have taken a turn now that she is having an affair with her husband’s uncle. If that wasn’t bad enough, she followed Nina’s advice and served Michael (Chad Duell) with divorce papers while also planning a custody battle.

This is a typical Nina move and not a move Willow would make. Now, there seems to be a nature vs. nurture debate. Maybe Willow is not as sweet as she appeared and is more like her mom. After all, this is not the first time Willow has cheated. She slept with Michael while married to Chase (Josh Swickard), but everyone gave her a pass. This time, she may not be so lucky.

Sister, Sister

Then there is her twin sister, Nelle. The two were bitter enemies and had no idea they were related. Both girls had difficult childhoods, but was that the cause of Nelle’s evil, or is it in the genes?

Willow may never become a murdering psychopath to get what she wants, but she could go to great lengths to do so. With Michael out of the picture, his estranged wife will be up for a battle against Carly (Laura Wright). Carly is ferocious, so Willow must pull out all the stops for a fight like that. How far will she go? Will her inner Nelle come out?

Let’s not forget that she will eventually discover that her mother was sleeping with Drew (Cameron Mathison) at the same time she was (ew). Her reaction to that news will be interesting.
