After chaos ensued over Drew and Willow’s affair on General Hospital, here’s why Laura Wright says her character Carly might light the Quartermaine Mansion on fire.
Lights Out
Michael’s (Chad Duell) video footage of Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) affair accidentally played during the Quartermaine Christmas party, and the worst person who could have witnessed it was Carly. She’s blown up at Drew and caught Willow attempting to flee from the mansion with the kids, and now, Wright shares how Carly could have an even bigger reaction.
While discussing the storyline on Daily Drama with co-stars Steve Burton (Jason) and Bradford Anderson (Spinelli), Wright touched on her character not knowing why Jason punched Drew. When Anderson asked if she’ll beat up Drew once she learns, her response was, “It’s Carly, how do you think?”
Fired Up
Burton admitted he didn’t agree with Jason not being honest with Carly about why he punched his brother, to which Wright had a perfectly valid explanation. “The second Carly finds out, given her personality, I’m assuming scorched earth, right? She would light that friggin’ house on fire.”

Wright wasn’t far off about her character’s reaction. After immediately defending her son and lashing out at Drew for coming between Michael and Willow, when she caught Willow and Nina (Cynthia Watros) wrangling up the kids, the look in her eyes was certainly fiery.
“This is Michael, this is her baby,” Wright continued to defend Carly’s actions. “I mean, she loves all of her other kids, but Michael is the one that started it all.” Despite Carly’s beloved relationship with her firstborn, things may take an unexpected turn when the character exits along with his portrayer in the coming year.
