The Quartermaines have been running amok on General Hospital for decades, and on the June 17, 2024 episode, they added another member to their growing family.
Power In Your Name
At Willow’s (Katelyn MacMullen) birthday party, Drew (Cameron Mathison, who recently announced his new game show gig) caught Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Michael (Chad Duell) up on his current plan, informing them he intends to run for Congress. While Curtis was left concerned over their health and wellness venture, Michael made a different remark.
“That phone call I got from Judge Perez makes a lot more sense now,” Michael said. “He called to tell me you filed a petition to change your name.” Drew admitted it was something he had to think long and hard about, but ultimately acknowledged the Quartermaine name has higher recognition in Port Charles than Cain.
The Big Announcement
After everyone sang “Happy Birthday” and Willow blew out her candles, she gave Drew the floor to officially make his announcement. In front of his friends and family – including his ex Carly (Laura Wright) and his current bed buddy Nina (Cynthia Watros) – Drew revealed the inevitable.
“I am running for Congress in the 28th District of the State of New York,” he began. “I truly believe, in my heart, that there’s just too much division in politics.” Willow went on to say that the best present they could all give her was to vote for Drew.
Politics has always been a hot topic in Port Charles, but do you think Drew is making the right decision by running for Congress? Let us know in the comments.
