Which Port Charles Restaurant Will General Hospital’s Sasha Run?

Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) has been working as the Quartermaines’ cook on General Hospital for a while now. Everyone’s been raving about her food, and even Tracy (Jane Elliot) complimented her on the September 16 episode after chastising her for biding her time until a better job came along. With Tracy’s backing, Sasha could run her own restaurant. Or she might get scooped up by a Port Charles eatery as their head chef.

Where Would She Go?

Because modeling is such a high-pressure situation, as well as her personal addiction issues, which caused many horrific scenes, Sasha quit being the face of Deception to work as a cook. Tracy clearly could see that she was destined for something greater, even though she’s been a tough, critical boss. So, if Tracy doesn’t offer to finance a restaurant for her anytime soon, she might end up working somewhere else, putting her cooking skills to better use.

Port Charles has many restaurants that would love to have Sasha as their head chef. The Metro Court, which is rather upscale, would be a great place for her. When Carly worked there, she offered Sasha that position, but she opted to work for the Q’s. Carly now owns Bobbie’s Diner, which used to be Kelly’s Diner. While Sasha would be welcome there, her cooking is probably a little too high-end considering Tracy claimed that in all of her world traveling, Sasha’s food is by far the best she’s ever tasted.

Decisions, Decisions

Other potential eateries that Sasha could work at include the Haven Bistro, but we only see people having coffee, not meals, there. She could also work at the Haunted Star, a ship that doesn’t have a restaurant per se, but it does entertain social events, and she could be the on-site caterer. Characters used to frequent Charlie’s pub, but it hasn’t been seen in a while. Perhaps it’s time to bring that back with Sasha running the joint since Kristina’s too busy with her personal drama to run the place. And it’s an excuse to get Phyllis (Joyce Guy) back on the canvas. Then there’s the newest set piece on the show: the Port Charles Surf Lodge. More and more characters are eating there, so it’s a happening place that could use Sasha’s skill. Cafe Cherie is a high-end restaurant (although it can’t be too high-end since Cyrus (Jeff Kober) works there), and they’d take on Sasha in a heartbeat.

Sonny’s Italian restaurant, Pozzulo’s, is never actually open because it’s a front for his “business.” But its kitchen seems to be fully functional, so it would be a no-brainer to have Sasha take it over and open its doors for real. However, Sonny’s office is in the back, and he might frown upon having random people so close to it, even though he considers Sasha to be family.
