What Steve Burton’s First Set Photo Tells Us About Jason’s GH Return

General Hospital fans are eagerly awaiting the return of Steve Burton as Jason Morgan while trying to guess how he will be brought back from the dead and what he will do next. Finally, the show is ready to give us a bit of a hint as to where you might find Jason when he makes his PC comeback.

Is Jason Ready For A Mob Fight?

It’s been over a month since GH announced Burton’s imminent return on its primetime special General Hospital: 60 Years Of Stars And Storytelling. Burton is finally back on the set this week after a brief stop to tape him walking through a smoke-filled door that aired at the end of the special.

According to GH, one of his first stops might be Sonny’s boxing gym, as the show just released an official pic of the actor’s first day bringing Jason to life once again. Burton began playing Jason way back in 1992, left the soap in 2012, returned in 2018, and left again toward the end of 2021.

At the time, Jason was again presumed dead after being buried beneath the rubble on Cassadine Island. A tunnel explosion seemed to take Jason’s life, but we all know that dead is never really dead on a soap — especially when a body isn’t found.

While the boxing gym snap doesn’t tell us much about Jason’s return, it definitely gives us a good hint that Jason will remain immersed in Sonny’s life. Even GH tells that its lips are sealed as to how Jason arrives on the PC scene, as it captioned the pic with the following:

“Look who’s back in the ring! 🥊 @1SteveBurton has officially returned to Port Charles… and that’s all we can tell you (for now).”
