General Hospital fans will fondly remember Vinessa Antoine, who played the original Jordan Ashford. After leaving the show in 2018, she became the first black Canadian actress to lead a primetime drama when she starred in Diggstown in her native country. Since the legal drama ended, she has appeared on streaming shows and in other Canadian series. And she has a brand new project that stars the most stylish Emmy winner to walk the face of this planet.
On Vinessa Antoine’s Instagram account, she posted photos of her and the stylish Oscar-nominated Emmy-winner Colman Domingo took on the set of his upcoming Netflix limited series. The Madness drops November 28 and is about a media pundit who finds himself smack dab in the middle of a murder in the Poconos.
In Antoine’s native Canada, she stars in a science fiction time travel series called Plan B. She leads the second season of this anthology drama. According to Deadline, she plays a new character “who is given the chance to change her life — and those of the people around her — by making use of a mysterious time-travel agency. It hits Canadian air in October. No word on whether it’ll make its way down to the U.S.
Here in the States, fans can see Antoine in the final season of Netflix’s Umbrella Academy. During episode four, she plays a shady character who mixes it up with the eccentric Klaus Hargreeves. And, trust us, she plays a person who should not be messed with at all.
According to IMDB, the former soap star has a couple of projects in the works. These include a series called Work in Progress and All the Lost Ones, a thriller starring Chucky‘s Devon Sewa and Riverdale‘s Lochlyn Munro. The drama airs on Paramount+ Canada later this year.
Hopefully, Antoine will appear in more American projects. We loved her on GH and can’t wait to see what else she lines up in the future!
