As Finn’s drinking has gotten progressively worse on General Hospital, it was only a matter of time until his daughter became the victim, and it finally happened on the June 21, 2024 episode.
After waking up from being passed out drunk, Finn (Michael Easton) discovered broken glass and blood on his coffee table. He noticed a shard of glass stuck in his bloody hand, but decided to take another sip of alcohol before pouring some on his wound and passing out again.
When Violet (Jophielle Love, who recently launched her music career) got home from her play date, she found her father unconscious and bloody on the floor. She begged him to wake up, and when he didn’t, she noticed missed calls from Tracy (Jane Elliot) on his phone and decided to call her. When Tracy answered, she immediately began tearing into Finn until she heard Violet’s worried voice telling her she thought her dad was dead.
Tracy called paramedics and they all arrived at the scene to realize Finn was alive and only passed out drunk. Tracy attempted to calm Violet down when she asked, “What if he doesn’t wake up like Grandpa?” and reassured her that this situation was different before talking her into staying the night with Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton).
After arriving at the newlyweds’ apartment, Tracy filled Chase in on what happened and told them to spend the night at the Quartermaine Mansion while she went to talk some sense into Finn. Violet shared her concerns about her dad with her uncle and aunt, wondering if cooking him better meals would help him be less tired. Meanwhile, Tracy returned to Finn’s place and snapped some photos of the scene before waking him up and telling him that his daughter was gone and not coming back.
As spoilers for next week tease the aftermath of Finn’s drunken night, do you think Chase and Brook Lynn now have a case for custody of Violet? Let us know in the comments.
