Valentin was revealed to be an even bigger bad guy than we first thought on General Hospital. Do we think he’ll blame it on his poor, unloved, hunchbacked youth again? Anything is possible. While we wait for Val to wriggle off this latest hook he’s snagged himself on, we take a look back at what a young James Patrick Stuart was up during that same time…and where you can watch him do it.

So Say We All

Before there was the critically acclaimed Battlestar Galactica reboot which aired from 2004 to 2009, there was the 1978-1979 version, which was sillier, campier, and a lot less glum. The premise was the same. An attack by the robotic Cylons forced the last tattered remains of humanity to go running for their lives in search of a lost colony called Earth, where they hoped they’d be able to resettle. Guiding Commander Adama (Lorne Greene), on his danger-filled journey, was an otherworldly teen genius named Dr. Zee. He sat in a big chair and said profound things. He was played by a 12-year-old Stuart, with some very 1970s hair. Watch it here.

Looking Good

Everybody knows the story of 1990’s blockbuster hit Pretty Woman. The movie that made both prostitutes and venture capitalists seem warm and cuddly. But the story could have never happened if Julia Roberts had been unable to find the hotel room where Richard Gere was paying her to stay with him. And who was the one who guided that adorable Vivian there? Why, none other than a hard-working bellboy played by Stuart. If it weren’t for him, we’d have never gotten that fire-escape climbing happy ending! Where to catch it for free and for pay.

Live and Laugh

Stuart also has quite the sitcom resume. He was a regular on Andy Richter Controls the Universe and guested on Spin City, The Ellen Show, Happy Family, Still Standing, American Dad, Samantha Who?, and, of course, his turn as Elaine’s furniture-designing, Desperado-loving boyfriend, Brett, on Seinfeld. Check him and Jerry out at this clip!
