Lucky Spencer is back on General Hospital. Well, not in Port Charles, but on-screen, which is halfway there. He is somewhere in Africa, rescuing a doctor via a plan…he has yet to come up with. But Lucky is an in-the-moment kind of guy. Like his late dad. And his mom, too. Luke and Laura’s adventures are legendary. Now Lucky is on a wacky caper of his own. But should he really be doing it all on his own?
When Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) first fell in love with Elizabeth (Rebecca Hearbst), fans instantly leaped on a common nickname for her, Liz, and got excited by the idea of L&L: Part Two.

But unlike Luke (Anthony Geary) and Laura (Genie Francis), who first took down the mob (that was in the past when mobsters were considered bad) and then battled an evil Cassadine weather machine, Lucky and Liz faced more prosaic concerns.
Like the paternity of Jake (Hudson West) — it was Jason (Steve Burton), not Lucky. And the paternity of Aiden (Tristan Riggs) — it was Lucky, not Nikolas (Adam Huss). (They also lived through Lucky “dying,” just like Laura once did.) They never got to go on a wacky adventure.
Maybe now would be a good time. After all, Lucky is somewhere, doing…something. He’s already talked about reaching out to the WSB. They were a big part of Luke and Laura’s adventures back in the day.
Why couldn’t they be again for the next generation? Lucky could swing into Port Charles, drop off a piece of his liver with Lulu, then grab Liz and continue whatever it is he’s doing now.
There’s not much keeping Liz in Port Charles. Cameron is away at college, Jake is away at art school, and Aiden can obviously take care of himself, considering how little we see of him. Liz isn’t in a relationship currently, and she seems to be able to drop in at work whenever she feels like it.
So why not take off for a while? This is the L&L 2.0 adventure we’ve been waiting for since the previous century!
