Cody’s been working Ava for weeks in attempt to break up her and Ric, and now his plan has finally come to fruition during the August 7, 2025 episode of General Hospital.
Kristina’s Plot Thickens
Kristina (Kate Mansi) admitted she feels bad for tearing Molly (Kristen Vaganos) and Cody (Josh Kelly) apart, but it was necessary collateral damage for her ultimate plan: break up Ava (Maura West) and Ric (Rick Hearst). The devious pair have been blackmailing Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) for months, extorting from Ace’s fortune in exchange for their silence about Kristina causing Ric and Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) accident.

Now, Cody’s plot to seduce Ava, by request of Kristina, has slowly but surely come together. After Ava caught Ric talking to Elizabeth at GH, she immediately sent a text to Cody, asking if he was busy, making Cody’s scheme that much easier.
Cody And Ava Lock Lips
When Cody met Ava at the Metro Court pool, their afternoon started out innocently lying out in the sun. But by the time Kristina made it up there to check for a table for her and Molly, Cody and Ava were inches apart while Ava helped Cody “cool down” by rubbing an ice cube along his chest.
In attempt to not further hurt her sister, Kristina convinced Molly to join her at the lake instead, all while Cody and Ava remained by the pool, melted ice against their skin before their lips finally locked.
This is far from the first time Ava has fallen for a younger man. She was previously with Griffin (Matt Cohen), who wasn’t much older than her daughter he was dating. Most memorably, Ava stole Morgan (Bryan Craig, who recently shared his interest in returning to daytime) from Kiki (Haley Erin), who were both teenagers at the time.
